La Casa Piola
"The accommodation is very well located on a mountain. Restaurants, pizzerias and small bars are easy to find in the area. During the day I would say the accommodation is safe, but at night I would recommend always taking a taxi or Uber to the accommodation. The breakfast was good and the bread is home-made. You can also cook very well there and there are all the necessary kitchen utensils. Otherwise everything was very clean and we were satisfied. There was only cold water in the showers. Make sure to pay online in advance otherwise there will be fees that were not displayed in advance."

"Good location, convenient for travel"
La Mancha Art Hostel
Hotel Latitud 33º Sur
"Located in the heart of a World Heritage city, the hotel offered pleasant walks to spots with great views. The staff were all kind, making for a wonderful stay. Thank you. While the room amenities were slightly lacking, the hotel's excellent location far outweighed any shortcomings."
Hotel Diego de Almagro Valparaíso
"The location of the hotel is very good. The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff are very friendly. I would like to use it again."
BO Hotel & Terraza
"Valparaiso is truly a beautiful mountain town. Away from the hustle and bustle of Santiago, it felt like returning to a small town reminiscent of Uruguay's colonies. The warmth and kindness of the people were palpable. I love these small places, away from big cities. The hotel even had a great platform for taking photos. I spent three reluctant days in this town, taking the bus back and forth to the capital. I loved it here! The hotel was also very conveniently located near the tourist areas of the town, all within a 1km walk. The most beautiful spots are in this area. Both the hotels in Santiago and Valparaiso have excellent security measures. I love it here! The evening bus at check-out time offered luggage storage and a place to relax on the platform. Small towns are truly wonderful."

Casa Puente Hotel Boutique
"Very special place. The decor is beautiful and quite unique, different artworks decorating each bedroom and the communal areas gorgeously laid out in wood and tiling. A huge, sunny terrace boasts a plunge pool with a view and the breakfasts were lovely. The position is perfect, right in the middle of the very bohemian area full of tiny shops and cafes and the hotel itself is very safe, inside a gated entrance. Staff were utterly lovely and really helpful. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed."

Gervasoni Hotel Boutique
"Sure! Here’s the translation: This hotel is very vintage and tasteful, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient, with a nice blend of tranquility and liveliness. The breakfast is exquisite, and the owner is very elegant. The only downside is that there is a bit of an odor in and around the hotel and the room, likely due to the carpet. I can only give the room cleanliness a score of 5.5, and I hope for improvements in the future."
Hotel Brighton
"What you see is what you get. The room is exactly the same as the picture, a little smaller, but it has everything. The location is good, halfway up the mountain, the restaurant faces the sea, and the view is good"
Ayca la Flora Hotel Boutique
"This is a fabulous hotel. We recently stayed for 2 nights. The hotel staff are some of the best that we have ever encountered. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had information for sightseeing, dinners, transportation, etc. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautifully decorated, the breakfast was excellent, tea, coffee and drinking water are available 24 hours per day, and there is parking available on site."
Hotel Ecomusic
"The hotel is a simple, clean, well located hotel and very affordable price. The hotel is not offering breakfast and has no attention to a chain hotel, but it doesn't matter: comfortable beds, bad bathroom, good wave receptionist and Bob Marley photos."
Departamentos Puerto Claro
Casa Vander Hotel Boutique
"Wonderful stay! Staff was outstanding. So helpful in so many ways! Challenging to get to but worth the stay. No lift in the hotel but again the staff will assist you. Hotel is located at the top of the lift from the street. Can't wait to return again one day."
Fauna Hotel
"I like the location of this hotel and the views from the room; however the first room I was given the security safe was broken and was shut, it was locate directly beneath the bed. The reception appeared to know this, when I went back to raise a concern, but still seemed to think that would be acceptable; when I advise them it was not, they did offer me room a floor below with safe that worked and the seas fine. Wifi in the hotel is not great a food in the restaurant was OK, but a little expensive compared to other nearby restaurants."
Palacio Astoreca
"A lovely elegant old style hotel set in a pretty part of Valparaiso. We enjoyed our stay here, finding the front desk staff (in particular the young lady who checked us in and was there in the afternoons) friendly and helpful. We were kindly given an upgrade from a junior suite to what had to be the best room in the house - and that was a very lovely surprise! The room was super, spacious, elegantly decorated, had a wonderful comfortable bed and had beautiful views from the room and large balcony. The homemade biscuits brought to the room each evening were a nice touch. We enjoyed a few quiet drinks on our balcony watching the sun go down each evening. Very nice shower in the bathroom too. The breakfast here was the best we had in our three week trip and 8 different hotels (including some very fancy 5* places). It was a fairly simple buffet but we loved the large array of delicious fruit on offer, the delicious bakery items and the loose leaf tea made me very happy indeed! If there had been a bar in house we would have made use of the beautiful lounge / terrace area - which looked very comfortable (maybe something for the hotel owners to consider?) but the hotel is an easy stroll to nearby bars and restaurants."
