La Casa Piola ★★
"Very good hostel clean and good location. can only recommand"
Ibis Valparaiso ★★★
"Excellent location right at the terminus of the train to Viña de Mar. Being part of the ibis network is in itself a guarantee"
Hotel Latitud 33º Sur ★★
"I challenge anyone to find a better hotel in Valparaíso. Veronica and Eduardo were fantastic! Very attentive. We felt at home. They also recommended great places to visit. Regarding breakfast, it's delicious and plentiful. Also regarding food, I recommend having lunch at the "Moneda de Oro" restaurant (just search for it on Google and you'll find it easily). The location is also perfect! From our room, we had a wide view of the city, and we could see one of the city's tourist streets up close (I recommend trying to stay in the superior room, the first room on the right). In short, you can stay there without fear of being happy."
Casa Esmeralda ★★
"All good. No breakfast but good microwave, drinking water and shared kitchen are provided."
La Mancha Art Hostel ★★
Hotel Diego de Almagro Valparaíso ★★★
"Excellent"
Casa Volante Hostal ★★
"The hostel experience is incredible. Valparaíso is an international and friendly city, with stairways leading to a Casa Volante: maze of emotions and five-star service. Discover the heart of the port in a hostel that feels like a well-organized and stable family, ensuring the best possible experience. Highly recommended."
Hostal Casa Verde Limón ★★
La Joya Hostel ★★
"This place has great potential but is so bad we left early..The daily need to compete with the staff for the breakfast on offer is not pleasant. You shouldn't have to wait for staff to feed themselves from the breakfast buffet before you can access breakfast you are paying for. The wifi is very poor and constantly drops out We left before our booking was ended after talking to staff several times about the quality and the constant dropping in and out. This place was very noisy with staff yelling across the hostel at each other all day or playing very loud music. There is nothing on offer and staff don't actively let you know about anything other than the long list of rules. Minimal places to eat around area. The bathroom is terrible and the floors could do with a good wash. Not a pleasant stay"

Gervasoni Hotel Boutique
"Centrally located in the tourist zone, easy walking distance to a multitude of sites, one of 20 + funiculars, restaurants and shops. Fabulous breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. The owner provided transport to the Santiago airport at the conclusion of our stay. Funky older establishment with lots of stairs and no elevators."
Hotel Casa Somerscales
"Wonderful welcome from the proprietor, who gave us a great orientation to Valparaiso and couldn’t do too much for us and recommended excellent restaurante. Location was fantastic within walking distance of everything but in a safe part of town. The breakfast was delicious and our room spacious and with a wonderful view. The only challenge was we didn’t get much sleep as there was no air conditioning so we kept the windows open which meant we were awakened by the dogs of Valparaiso who bark regularaly throughout the night."
New Voga Guesthouse
"This place was a true oasis! The décor is beautiful and thoughtfully designed down to every detail, and our room was even better than we expected. We had a larger room on the second floor, and it was bigger than our first apartment in the U.S. It faced the street but was incredibly quiet, which was a must for me. We arrived early, but Paula, the owner, was more than happy to let us leave our luggage and she recommended a few cute spots around town for us to explore while we waited. Her hospitality made us feel welcome right away. Breakfast was delicious and personally prepared and served by Paula herself, which added such a nice, personal touch to the stay. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was especially perfect for me because I needed a quiet, relaxing place after traveling through Santiago and other busy areas the previous days. One tip: you definitely do not want a car in Valparaíso. Everything is within walking distance, and Uber is very easy for getting to and from the bus station. Highly recommend staying here!"
Hotel Ecomusic
"The hotel is a simple, clean, well located hotel and very affordable price. The hotel is not offering breakfast and has no attention to a chain hotel, but it doesn't matter: comfortable beds, bad bathroom, good wave receptionist and Bob Marley photos."
Hotel Boutique Acontraluz
"Pablo and his team are so friendly. The welcome is so warm The hotel is typically chilien designed. We love it and warmly recommended it 😀"
Departamentos Puerto Claro
Ayca la Flora Hotel Boutique
"What a gem in the heart of Valparaiso. The staff is fantastic, the gardens are lovely and many sights and good restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. A bit hard to find initally but once there anything that can’t be walked to directly can be reached by train or acensor. Highly recommend!"
Casa Galos Hotel & Lofts
"Clean and tidy, the reception is very enthusiastic! Breakfast is not bad!"
Hotel Garden
Fauna Hotel
"I like the location of this hotel and the views from the room; however the first room I was given the security safe was broken and was shut, it was locate directly beneath the bed. The reception appeared to know this, when I went back to raise a concern, but still seemed to think that would be acceptable; when I advise them it was not, they did offer me room a floor below with safe that worked and the seas fine. Wifi in the hotel is not great a food in the restaurant was OK, but a little expensive compared to other nearby restaurants."
Palacio Astoreca
"The Palacio Astoreca Hotel is a terrific place to stay. There is nothing better than staying in a fine, renovated mansion! First, they organised pick up at the airport. Check in was smooth and room 17 had a fine view of the harbour, plus its own little terrace to sit out on to watch the sunset. Breakfast is at the adjoining restaurant, and it was delicious--a lot of variety. Dinner at the restaurant was also excellent. The hotel has a spa area that you can reserve for 45 minutes for yourselves. The location is quite good for exploring the city's street art."
