Jungle Backpackers Terrace View

It was easy to find the hostel from the city center. I booked their private car to go to Nam Xay Viewpoint and Blue Lagoon 1 for 400,000 Kip and was offered 70,000 Kip for a car trip to the railway station. I liked that they served breakfast (see photo) - you can also order one dish and enjoyed the scenic view while I ate. The bed wasn't good - I slept on the top bunk and when I got down from the ladder, sometimes the mattress would sink when I tried to support myself on it. Could also do with providing soap and shampoo (and charge a slightly higher price if need be). It's really affordable though so can't really complain :)

The pool area is wonderful! The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. It's not very close to the center, but it's only a 10-minute walk.

Room was okay, however I don’t think the bed was changed before we arrived. Lots of residual hairs in the bed when we checked in! Location is good, 10 minute walk to the main area and breakfast was nice as well with multiple options. Service was okay but reception were mainly on their phones when guests were walking past and marked down on amenities. No shower gel provided and smallest bottles of water I have seen in Laos provided. If you’re paying for a private room would expect a little more tbh.

I stayed here for one night only and love it.It offers free breakfast and the hostel is clean. The view also good from the pool. It's about 15-20minutes from Vang Vieng Train Station. You may ask the guy at the reception to book tuk tuk to the train station.

Great and helpful staff service. Free breakfast is a bonus. The only letdown us the wifi, which at times drop connections. But i give it full marks for having clean shared toilets, with hot-cold showers, and available (so what aged) scooters for rent at competitive prices...
