We stayed 4 nights at the Smile Guesthouse and it was all very pleasant. The owners are very attentive and helpful - they arranged for us tuk tuk to the station early in the morning with pickup location at the hotel. Great breakfasts!

We loved our stay here, we had originally booked for one night and extended to three. Very simple rooms but one of the cleanest during our time in Asia. The staff was super friendly and breakfast was very nice each morning. It is a little bit of a walk to the main areas of the town, but not too bad and makes for a quieter night. Would definitely stay here again!

Couldn’t have peace or sleep here despite choosing it because it was away from the main bar street and night market. It’s so noisy and annoying. There’s music playing extremely loud from 6 pm and it’s still going after midnight. Music so loud it felt the room was shaking and ear plugs didn’t make a difference. At 2 am the music only stopped after I went myself to tell the people to turn off their music. No help from the hotel to turn off the music. Then there’s the roosters sounding off at 4 am. Then music began playing again from two different places at 8 am and that continued throughout the morning. Plus you can hear the cars passing and honking on the road. I could hear people in the other rooms so clearly that some guy was practicing English. The noise never stops and gives you such a headache. I had to move to another place that was closer to the bar streets and yet that area was quieter. Just a terrible experience. And breakfast is served in many hotels in that city as a part of the room price so it’s easy to find an equivalent without the headache of all the noise.

Excellent hotel! Clean, affordable, and breakfast was included (with 6 options to choose from). You can also rent a scooter here. The staff were friendly and helpful with everything. For value for money, it's a 10 out of 10.
