Lisha Riverside Hotel（The Grand Riverside Hotel）

The bathroom was PARTICULARLY unclean. This hotel is, at best, a 2 star hotel. Do not be confused or led astray by the high guest ratings or videos of balloons. The bathroom was in a very bad condition, it clearly had not been properly cleaned in a long long time. Similar experience for friends in my group, one who had to find another hotel nearby as there was no cleaner room available here at Lisha Grand. Consider this a warning, would not stay here again.

The hotel is old. Door barely close. The balcony sliding door could not lock. The hotel is quiet. Hard to find as the name is not the same as booking. Also many hotels are called Lisha. Breakfast is soso. Took us long time to get a taxi to the railway station, despite asking in advance 15-20min walk to the downtown

Its a nice hotel overlooking the Nam Song River with the nice view of Vang Vieng mountain ranges. However, its an old hotel and most of the tourists are chinese. One good thing is that its very accessible to the main street where you can book activities for paramotoring etc. Also, breakfast is good and quite filling, loved the soup. Overall, a good place to stay for a good price, esp that I was able to enjoy the view of the hot air balloons flying in the comfort of my balcony. View = superb 💯

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lisha Riverside Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The location is stunning—nestled peacefully along the river, with breathtaking views that added a special charm to each morning. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or a base to explore the area, Lisha Riverside Hotel delivers exceptional value and genuine hospitality. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be returning!

This hotel felt quite run down. We arrived to the lobby with two old mattresses leaning against the wall. The room was big and had lovely views, however, the door had cracks in it that you could see through to the hallway and hear everything going on outside the room. The bathroom is in need of desperate repair. The AC roared loudly on and off all night, the metal from the AC rattled the windows. The sheets did not fully cover the mattress (just a loose sheet on top of the bare mattress, so in the night I found myself touching the old mattress with my hand). White duvet had stains. Pool was really nice with river views, definitely the highlight of our stay. We went elsewhere for breakfast after seeing what was offered. Staff were helpful in booking a tuk tuk and storing our luggage for the day.

To begin with, the name of the hotel on Trip isn’t the same as the actual hotel so it took a long time for us to find the hotel.   When checking in, we were told that the TV wasn’t working, and it didn’t work for the whole 4 days we were there.   There was a fridge that wasn’t plugged in , simply because it was in the wardrobe and there was no electrical socket nearby.  There was also a phone that wasn’t plugged , just left in the wardrobe too.  The staff is completely useless.  They never greet you when you pass by the reception of when they see you on the property.  They are too busy playing with their mobile phones.   The bathroom was dirty, the sink was clogged and there was a hole in the wall that was really strange.    The hotel is mainly for Chinese tourists who have no respect for anyone else’s staying in the hotel.   They are loud and noisy at every time of the day; they spit on the property and smoke on non smoking floors but nobody seems to care.   At breakfast, they rush , push you and grab as much food as they can.  We went to breakfast on the first day and never went back again.  It was like feeding time at the zoo.   We left the room as early as we could and returned only in the evening but despite that, had to sleep with earplugs every night. Worst hotel every, avoid at all cost.
