"I have to say I was quite surprised when reading other guests’ comments mentioning that the rooms were spacious enough. In our case, it really felt like we had the smallest room in the hotel. To give an idea, when sitting in the bathroom, there was barely enough space between your knees and the door once it was closed. The hotel is very well positioned, just a few minutes’ walk from the historical centre of Vannes, which made it easy to explore everything on foot. The room was clean, which is always appreciated. I was surprised there was no air conditioning, a fan was provided, but during this extremely hot weather it’s simply not enough. Also, there were no small amenities like a kettle with tea and instant coffee, or a coffee machine, which most hotels now offer. The soundproofing was also minimal. Starting early in the morning, we could clearly hear the cleaning staff, other guests, and doors shutting loudly, which made it difficult to sleep in…especially on a weekend getaway when you want to rest. Overall, it’s a very basic hotel that works for a short stay if location is your top priority, but it lacks comfort features we’ve come to expect."

"Aparthotel correct. Mauvaise isolation phonique (bruit de la route et voisins du dessus), on nous attribué pour 4 nuits, un appartement au rez-de-chaussée alors que j'avais demandé un appartement à l'étage supérieur et 1 parking. Mes demandes n'avaient pas été lues. Heureusement un parking était disponible. Il y avait des appartements disponibles aux étages supérieurs et j'ai demandé un changement qui nous a été refusé au motif: pas de surclassement possible. Pour ces raisons, nous ne sommes pas satisfaits. Ce geste commercial n'aurait pas ruiné Best Western."

"Comfortable rooms though it must be Accor policy not to have air conditioning switched on as room was very warm due to thundery weather and thunderstorm which flooded and brought down the ceiling in the restaurant. Air-conditioning was not available though advertised and installed. Staff were helpful in all respects especially Thomas who was happy to share recommendations of restaurants and was obliged to cope with the difficult situation of the storm damage meaning that some guests were unable to get anything to eat."
