AWFUL!
THE RECEPTIONIST WAS SUPER RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL.
THE FOOD WAS IN A VERY BAD CONDITION, FLIES EVERYWHERE AND TASTELESS.
THE DRINKS WERE JUST WATER.
THE ROOMS WERE DIRTY AND QUITE OLD AND THE DON’T CLEAN THE ROOM JUST MAKE THE BED.

Service only for dollars. Rooms dirty, carkala roaches, no hot water. Were assigned to Las Palmas when booking, even though Quatro Palmas was booked for double. Very loud. Canteen is narrow and part of a construction site. For every favor you have to give dollars. Cocktails at the bar are terrible. Food mediocre. Beach very good.

The hotel is wonderful, the food is fantastic, the snack bar is really fun and the staff is super attentive. I don't recommend it for women traveling alone, there is a lot of harassment from foreigners and some suspicious movements. If you are alone, be very careful.

We ended up picking this hotel because of its location. The location and friendly staff are the highlights of this hotel for sure! It is across three street from restaurants, shopping and bars. The bar staff in the back bar were fantastic! I really appreciated their efforts and the fact that they would go out and find different mixes etc and buy them with their own money just to please their customers. The food is typically bad. But that is to be expected. It seems to be more catered to an older crowd. Things die down early, I believe the good bar closes at midnight and the best thing to drink at the main bar is by far simply water!

This is my fifth time at Cuatro Palmas. I have a room with a great viee on the ocean. People are friendly, I like the fact that it is a 160 room resort. You can make friends easily. I also enjoyed my diner at resto a la carte. The place is clean as always and the employes very friendly

August 28th - September 11th / Hola Sun Holidays Pros: - The hotel is closer to the airport than the other hotels. - The location is pretty much what this hotel is about. It is directly across from Calle 62 and walking distance to all restaurants, stores, and candy shops. - The hotel itself is a smaller hotel compared to the others down the *****. Everything is within walking distance throughout the hotel. - The food was actually pretty good. Beef, chicken, pork, rice, beans, and vegetables. Breakfast had everything: scrambled eggs, milk, pancakes, sausages, omelets, cereal, ice cream, dessert cakes, salads, sauces... - Cuban coffee with milk is the best around. Sugar was available but I personally didn't use any. - Las Palmas rooms are basic but the location was still pretty good. The A/C, hot water, and toilet were functioning. Iron board wasn't broken and iron was provided. The sliding balcony door was smooth and wasn't broken. - The beach and water was the best and can never go wrong. The setup was pretty good. The outdoor showers and bars were located well. Glass pitchers with ice water at the pool bar and snack bar was great. - 24/7 snack bar featured hamburgers, chicken/mayo, ham/cheese, and pork sandwiches. - Entertainment with nightly shows. - Service and staff where very helpful and friendly - Wi-Fi Internet was available throughout the resort including Las Palmas. It was fast in the lobby and pool area. - The cats and kittens were cute and awesome. Cons: - The hotel isn't as fun as others. It relies on location. You might get harassed for taking drinks outside the resort. Ask the security guards first to make sure how they feel about it. Security at Calle 62 might bother you though. - The age group for this hotel seems to be at the senior level. I do not recommend this hotel to 40 and under. - Wi-Fi at the Las Palmas was not as strong. I had to use my smartphone as a hotspot for my laptop to connect to the internet. Please install more routers. - There were no mangos available at this resort. I personally go to Cuba to pig out on Mangos and it was very disappointing that they didn't have any. - No separate coffee bar. - Hamburgers are usually sold out at night at the snack bar. - Mosquito bites are always part of the trip. - The beach chairs are getting pretty visibly dirty. Please scrub with cleanser staff members! - Cubans will likely cut in front of you at the bar or front desk. Try to build a rapport with the service people first so that they will help you before others. - Watch out for thieves, pickpockets, and scammers. It's probably best not to carry too much around. Locals will try to befriend you for money and charity purposes. They will likely ask for you to buy them food. I personally did not let the cleaning lady in my room at all throughout the two weeks. Stayed at Starfish Cuatro Palmas 17 nights, start July 8. Knew renovations were being done before arrival. The lobby bar re opened ahead of schedule 2 days after my arrival. ALL staff are very kind at this hotel. Food issues as expected, no lobster, shrimp, butter, mayo, tomatoes, onions, garlic for my whole stay. Ice cream, milk and other items disappeared second week. Not hotel's fault. Pool is great, beach great, cocktail bar and speciality restaurant very nice. Do NOT pet dogs in Cuba, they never see a vet and most sadly have infections like scabies. Bring all your fave munchies, chocky, peanuts etc. The buffet area that was also under construction re opened on 23 July, much better, chefs had new equip, more space etc.Great improvement. USA is today 330 N on the street, not 120 to 150 National on tour bus etc! Enjoy.

If you want to find a best location in the town you come to this resort. It’s right in the middle of the downtown and all good locations are at walking distance. The staff really tries here to go above and beyond to provide you the best services. The food is better than other resorts and best value for money resort in varadero

Very nice resort. Friendly people. Highly recommended. Entertaining people. Beach is very clean and beautiful. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Management is very friendly and will help you if you are in any trouble. Pools are very clean and well maintained. Every night entertainment. If you want to learn salsa they have the free classes.

I spend 12 nights at the hotel from the 4th to the 16th of July 2024. I’ve been there 6 times since april 2022 including 3 weeks last october. I know the situación very well in Cuba right now. Nothing is easy. Lack of food, lack of everything. I still love to go there For the guests expérience and to help and support the way I can. I arrived the 4th of July at night. I always ask to be in the Las Palmas section on the other side of the street. They decided to change it and send me to the Colonial section. I went there 2 times and I did’nt like it. I ask to switch For the other section. The Girl was new at the reception. Very Kind. She took the time to call her boss to explain the situación. She give the room number available in the other side. She encourage me to pass by reception the day after to fix it. In the meantime, I met the new assistant Director, Juan Paul to explain the situación. He explain to me: the section is close at the Las Palmas, because It’s very low occupancy and It’s to save electricity. I agree with it and I pass by reception the day after to switch in the regular section close to the pool. The room was ok exception of no wifi in my room. Few days after, I pass in front of the Las Palmas section, seing guests there. In and out. And the day after, i decide to go to reception to ask the real explanation about this section. Finally, they explain me: the section is open for the non all inclusive guests. I saw guests there during my entire stay. I was very disappointed about the answer of the assistant director. I really miss the service of Ángel, the assistant director before. This Men was talking with everyone. Ensure everything went well. Ensure everyone is satisfied. Juan Paul ignore almost everyone who pass in front of him. Pull down the head when I cross him all the time to avoid to say hello to me. The food was very good! The Chef exécutive from Spain did an amazing job. I was very impressed about the quality and the variety of the dish. However, the bar side was not spectacular. Only beer, Rhum, coca, lemon, Orange and pineaple juice. Cognac for the spanish coffee and that’s it. No Gin no vodka, no liquor For the entire stay. Wine available in the restaurant only. Big shoot out to the entire staff. Everyone was exceptional. Always very welcoming. Kind and very résilient. It’s for the Cuban peoples we like to go there. Animation team was very good. Entertainment was fun. The evening show as well. Location of this hotel is amazing. Close to everything. Bar, restaurant. I will go back For sure. However, for my next trip, I will check for different option. To compare and discover something new. I went to 15 hôtels in Varadero. We had more possibilities for sure.
