Everything is very good at the hotel, the decoration and sanitary conditions are not bad, but there are big problems at the front desk of the hotel. Not all front desk staff, but a thin middle-aged man on duty between 10pm and 11pm at the front desk was very rude. When he returned to the hotel at about 10pm on January 7, 2022, he found the door closed and rang the bell, but there was no one at the front desk. So I pressed the bell a few times, and after a while the tall, middle-aged man on duty came to the door and yelled at me as a customer, then argued with me and accused me of ringing the bell as a customer almost woke the hotel (After telling another front desk staffer the next day, the staff said the ringing was displayed on the phone with the front desk and staff, and strangely, the staff member didn't hear me through the phone while ringing last night Wait a minute, so I rang the bell a few more times). I was uncomfortable expressing the staff's attitude and the yelling seemed to be treating a madman, who replied, ”Yes, it's treating a madman.” In summary, it is not so simple to ring the bell. The professional accomplishment of the staff, and the waiting for people to receive things, obviously do not meet the needs of the hotel staff, and the face of different guests obviously feel racial discrimination, have complained, Waiting for a response from the hotel. Think twice about booking this hotel, and meeting the thin high school man can be extremely uncomfortable.

I stayed at the Avignon Grand Hotel with my partner from 12 to 16 September 22 there were however a number of short comings. The first of these was that the room we had been provided with was infested with mosquitoes - we had discovered this in the middle of the night after hearing the typical mosquito sounds and in the morning we had noticed we had numerous mosquito bites on our bodies. I had complained to the hotel front desk, the staff however appeared dismissive, my fundamental point to them was that the room should have been properly disinfected of the insects prior to making it available to customers. Secondly, breakfast in the hotel was of the bare minimum, in terms of hot cooked food , only bacon and scrambled eggs were available, the latter was of poor quality and almost resembled a paste as the eggs were cooked in far too much cream and milk.Cereal, bread, croissants, yogurt and some fruit were also available. No hot water was available in the hotel in the morning of the 16 September 22. Lastly, all the TV channels were in French, not even one channel was available in English. We had booked this hotel on the understanding it was of 4 stars, given however the shortcomings above together with the standard and quality that were below customer expectations it is difficult to see how the 4 star rating and price being charged was justified.
A stay at Hotel de l'Horloge places you in the heart of Avignon, steps from Rue de la Republique and Place de l'Horloge. This 4-star hotel is 0.3 mi (0.5 km) from Palais des Papes and 10.9 mi (17.6 km) from Spirou Provence Park.

We loved this hotel! We left yesterday and miss it already. The whole building is charming. Think teddy bears, flowers, even an old typewriter my kid got a kick out of. Public areas include a very small lounge by the reception and a breakfast room with a big window overlooking a small street. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and most spoke some English. There is a small lift up to the rooms as well as a twisty interior staircase my son also enjoyed. Each floor has a couple of levels with a few stairs between each, so if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a room that doesn't require any stairs. Rooms: We had the junior suite for 3. (More than 3 would be quite cramped.) It has a double bed and a chair folded out into a twin. There is also a desk, two chairs, small table, chest of drawers, small closet, and additional clothes rack. So we were able to unpack most of our stuff and put it away. There is a small WC and bathroom with sink, drawers and shelving, bath/shower and clothesline. There's a small fridge mostly stuffed with minibar items, but we were able to cram in a couple of our own items. There were several windows but it did get rather dim in the evenings once the sun went down. The windows open directly onto a ledge, no screen, which might be concerning if you have a very inquisitive or adventurous toddler. We slept with a window open for a couple of nights and I did get a few bug bites, but I am one of those people who's irresistible to mosquitoes and very allergic; my companions were not bothered. The temperature was comfortable in late June and we didn't feel the need to try the A/C or heat. Amenities: Tea selection, instant coffee, real coffee; teapot and coffee machine; condensed milk, real and fake sugar. 2 teacups, 2 espresso cups, 2 spoons. Bathroom provided soap and combo shower gel/shampoo; no conditioner. Breakfast is an amazing buffet: Scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon and sausages, croissants, pain au chocolate, brioche, bread, pickles, olives, tea, coffee, espresso machine, fresh squeezed orange juice, milk, soy milk, other juices, cheeses, cold meats, fruits (strawberries, watermelon, pineapple), veggies, etc. It runs 'til 11 and even on the day we showed up late, they kindly gave us a ton of food. Location: This could be a pro or a con, depending on your preferences. It's right off the Place de l'Horloge, which has a ton of cafes and restaurants and glaciers and a cute little carousel. It's steps from the Palais de Papes. That is all very convenient, but it also means you hear all of the activities of the Place at night: late-night revelry (there was a big music festival Friday night and the band was...not great) and early-morning deliveries and such.

We stayed just 1 night. Polite staff, decent sized room, clean, medium sized TV screen.. But a bit tricky getting into the hotel as it is off the small but busy street, no proper or safe drop-off point. Small lobby. Only 1 small elevator that may fit 2 with bags. Wifi in the room was weak. Shower on level with rest of the bathroom with just a shower curtain so that floor gets wet beyond the shower area, no surface to place dry clothes. Not much variety for breakfast.

ZZhengxinxinThis is a shocking villa hotel very close to the stone city. The villa has two oversized cedars. The couple runs it. The people are very good. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The room is also 360-degree view. Even the toilet has a view. I am the least fond of writing reviews because I am not a blogger. Xiaohongshu also writes a lot. Very good to provide reference. This is my favorite one since my trip. The unique geographical environment and design style are simply magical. So unreal, but it really exists. I have lived in a very luxurious brand hotel. All kinds of boutique design hotels. Nothing that touched me so much.
GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern. The restaurant was a plus. The room was fine, except the internet had really slow connection. Did not like sharing a room when there was a bathroom with no sink (how do you watch your hands when your roommate is in the shower area?). The shower area had only a curtain - so no sound protection. Could not get the room cold enough even with the lowest setting for temperature and the fan on high. We were both too hot.
GGuest UserExcellent! We were very! warmly welcomed at the reception, before we could not reach it because of a blocking the access road to the hotel and our Navi found no way. After a call at the hotel, a staffer came running from there! and opened the lock and led us alongside our car to the hotel. He then accompanied my husband to the parking place, because it was complicated to the reserved parking place in a large hall because of an event with a quite high dignity car, for which the police had blocked everything. This was an unusual event in Orange, but we were very helped from the hotel with the car. Our junior suite was very large with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was the largest we had in 6 weeks of French holiday, all perfectly equipped, classic style, but with very beautiful pads/dls. The shower was very large and nothing was wet outside and the floor of the tile in the shower was not smooth, but very safe (much ! better than in most other hotels). Shower was a pleasure there! Everything was beautifully furnished, NOT as in another guest review written “loveless”, that is not true. The heating worked well (November) and you could sleep at open window, so beautifully quiet it was. We don't have breakfast there, so no opinion about it. Location perfect in the center. A wonderful stay, absolutely recommendable, thank the hotel and its staff!!
MMeander26331680449I booked and paid for a 10 night stay in a 1 bed apartment for 2 people here for my husband and I on the spur of moment. I then read the reviews on the hotel booking sites and was absolutely dreading it. The reviews I read were mostly negative and commenting on the lack of cleaning etc. I then decided to make the most of our holiday and decided I would take my own cleaning products and equipment and resigned myself to a few hours of cleaning. On our arrival, we were allocated an apartment on the ground floor approximately 20 steps away from the pool. On entering, we were both pleasantly surprised. The apartment was very spacious with a large bathroom with separate bath and shower and twin vanity sinks; large entrance hall; separate toilet; large living area with kitchen and dining area and a lounge area as well as a spacious bedroom and furnished outdoor terrace. There was a tv and air con unit in the lounge and bedroom. The kitchen was adequately equipped for 4 people. The only complaint really was that the floors hadn't been mopped properly for what appeared to be a consideeable period of time. However, having bought my mop, it took me around an hour to mop to my standard which meant I could happily walk around the apartment barefoot. The apartment was quite dated but more than adequate and in a good state of repair. We found the pool to have plenty of sunbeds whatever time of day we went and there were a few umbrellas, however we took our portable beach umbrella so it wasnt an issue for us. There was always plenty of car park spaces available but not always right next to our accommodation but this did not inconvenience us in any way. The residence is not really within walking distance to anywhere so a car is necessary if you want to get out and about. There are 3 large commercial areas about a 5 minute drive away with a variety of shops and restaurants. The residence is very quiet and with the added bonus of manual and electric shutters, any light can be totally blocked out and as such, we had the best 10 nights sleep in a long while. The staff we encountered were all pleasant and helpful, especially the man on reception who dealt with a wasp issue we had. All in all we had a lovely holiday and are looking to return next year albeit with a mop.
GGuest UserThis was my second time to stay at Hotel Boquier in beautiful Avignon. It is a charming boutique hotel in an old building located about a five-minute walk from the train station in one direction and also an easy to walk to all of the main sites. I chose to stay there a second time because Frederic and the staff are so kind, attentive, and meticulous. They are very helpful and take wonderful care of you. The rooms are kept clean and well maintained, and the breakfast room is well-stocked and provides a pleasant, cozy place to eat in the morning. I also love their house cats in the lobby and the pleasant conversations each day. I highly recommend the Hotel Boquier.
GGuest Userwe had several days in ibis avignion sud. the menager the personal: Elohiques, Maksim and all the stuff are extremly nice, even the kitchen, we are jewish religiouse ppl and they helped us without them our kids wouldn't have eat, the hotel is very clean! great sweeiming pool and good advisesfor trips, and they helped us book activities they are the best hotel!
SSHENGXINThis hotel is very nice, with a separate yard, very quiet. Not far from the central station and the Palais des Papes, but also with a kitchen, you can eat it yourself. If you check in later than 7pm, the hotel will send you an email in the afternoon to inform you of the check-in method. It is very detailed. If the check-out time is earlier than the hotel front desk, please put the room card in the room and close the door. . The only bad thing is that there are no slippers. Take it with you. The hotel has its own car park, but it is estimated that it must be booked in advance, not much location.
SSamThis hotel is located within the city walls pedestrianise area but is assessable by car as the entrance to the car park from the main road. Very close to all major tourist location. The bed is comfortable with a decent shower pressure. The breakfast is good with a good variety of hot and cold food selections.
GGUOMINGThe location of the hotel is very good, very close to the train station and the tourist service center. The biggest problem for the old hotel in Europe is the elevator, or it is not very small, so it is best to travel lightly. European small hotels are generally old and the equipment is not too good. The service has been counted. But I won't find a way to help you solve it.
SScott GI had a business meeting in Annecy, and was hoping to travel to the South of France to visit the hilltop towns of the Luberon while I was there, a bucket list item for me. I was worried I couldn't afford it... until I found this hotel! Such a relief to find such a reasonable hotel, and it turned out to be great. Small yes, but very clean, hot water, the bed was soft enough, wifi was decent, the check-in folks almost all spoke English, it was great. And unlike others I didn't hear anyone else at night. It felt like a really good Motel 6 to me. Only downsides were the breakfast was pretty sparse, and you need a car service (or to rent a car yourself) to get to the hotel. I arrived by train, then used the Bolt app (essentially France's version of Uber) to hire a car to bring me to the hotel. I arrived around 10PM, but someone was still at the check in desk and spoke great English, too. Then I rented a car the next day. I did the hilltop towns of the Luberon one day, then the next day I did Pont du Gard, Saint-Paul asylum in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (where Van Gogh stayed and painted The Starry Night), Arles, and Avignon itself. Thanks to Premiere Classe for helping my bucket list item be within reach financially! I had a fantastic trip!
