Palazzo Dei Fiori by Room Mate

Venice|0.27km from Galleria dell'Accademia
Palazzo dei Fiori is a remarkable find! So pleased we chose it: we could not have had a better stay. Newly opened, the beautifully refurbished and decorated palazzo is in a great location and has HUGE rooms. It's the first time we have chosen an apartment in Venice rather than a hotel room and it makes such a difference! We've always liked Room Mate but this time they have really created something special. The palazzo is a perfect combination of old and modern, and the funky furnishings by Teresa Sapey make a very pleasant change from the baroque and rococco overload you'll get everywhere else. There's a well equipped small kitchen, which is great for breakfast or a light supper. Super comfortable bed and bedding; lovely bright bathrooms with fluffy towels. The apartments are cleaned every other day, which is a great joy when self catering. Nice views from the upper floors. On the other side of the canal is the Benedetto Marcello Conservatoire of Music, so open your windows in the daytime and you may hear some heavenly music drifting by, which adds to the atmosphere. We were really lucky to be upgraded to the Faggio apartment - 2000 sq ft with a wonderful terrace. So much nicer to come home after an exhausting day sightseeing to a proper sized flat than a tiny hotel room...and all for the same price! Marco the manager is charming, as is concierge Gianluca, and all staff are really helpful with tips for local restaurants and bars. We will definitely return! Le Café, just round the corner on Campo Santo Stefano, is great for breakfast and the Tavernetta San Maurizio in the opposite direction serves delicious local food in the evenings. But for great lunches try the cafe in the Museo Correr: quiet, the best view of St Mark's Square imaginible, charming wall murals and normal prices! You don't need to go into the museum, though you do need to go through security.

Granda Sweet Suites

From the bottom of my heart, please do not waste your money on this place. Look somewhere else. We are a family with a ten year old and 6 month old baby. Entry - pretty straight forward for us, we had a text message with instructions. Once we were in - the living area had a sofa that was pulled out into a bed for us. That’s fine. But there’s then no living area. Or room to swing a cat. Bathroom, there was mould in the shower. The most ridiculous cups for your coffee that also takes 6 years to pour. There’s no cleaning facilities like a sweeping brush so your constantly walking over natural dirt that’s been brought in from outside and having to wipe your feet before getting into bed. No cot was given to us even though one was requested through booking.com. We had high hopes from other reviews that the communication was good, however, I messaged to ask for more cups and an iron but we were left on two blue ticks on WhatsApp. Messaged for help with getting to the airport at 2am - no response. Actually they were pretty rude when they did reply. No one was seen to help us anywhere. The view was stunning once you got into the communal area, that was probably the only highlight. And that it’s right next to the waterbus stop Please spend your money on a better place so that you have a nicer experience of Venice because this place has really ruined a family trip for us.

The hotel is older, the staff in the restaurant downstairs is particularly good, especially a one named Paul, especially good. The staff at the front desk can say that it is general, it may be two systems, I feel that the front desk is the direct line of the boss, and the restaurant, cleaning is another system.

From the moment we checked in , being offered a chilled glass of Prosecco, to the time we checked out the service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The restaurant outside ,with a lovely view, was great and we had dinner there two of our three nights . The breakfast buffet was wonderful . Absolutely a great experience and highly recommended. The only note I would make is that we had asked for the lowest floor, which we were assigned ,due to my husband not wanting a lot of stairs . The room was lovely, however it had a large claw foot tube that was very difficult to get in and out of . A beautiful tub but given the physical limitations a bit rough . Other than that a perfect experience.

The Italian brother is very nice. The hotel is also nice. However, I personally retain my views on the front desk of the Indian descent. I encountered a big flood the day before and put all my financial phones on my friends' side and soaked in the water to return to the hotel. Check out the next morning and tell you to pay the city tax. The previous day's flood was the highest water level in Venice in 50 years, and the water reached the waist. Explain that now that there is no financial or mobile payment, the front desk can say that don't even leave without giving money. It is understandable that the city tax needs to be paid, and it is not said that it will not be paid. But the front desk didn't say a word like sorry. It's your problem directly, you can't leave without paying. I don't understand that a service representative representing a hotel is asking for money just like a kidnap.

Water bus is the main means of transportation in Venice. This hotel is close to two railway stations and has a very good location. In addition, the room is very clean, the bathtub is particularly good, and there are two showers. The comfort level is high, but there is no conditioner. The staff is also great, I can stay comfortably! In addition, a luxurious buffet-style breakfast was carried out and I was very satisfied. Luggage storage after check out is also very pleasant. This is a nice hotel, if I come to Venice again, I will want to stay again.
