The Hambrough ★★★★★
"The Hamborough Hoted our Afternoon Tea style Wedding reception. From first contact through to our departure the next day, the welcoming friendly and professional team made it a very Special occasion. Our bespoke Mocktails, Canapés and Afternoon Tea were delicious and beautiful presented. The views from our room out over the harbour made it hard to leave! Nothing was too much trouble for the Hamborough Team and they created a very magical day for us. X"
No24 Ventnor ★★★
"First of all, the listing showed the Ensuite but the host gave us the Loft room which was very conjusted. Me and my wife both bump our head multiple time on the corner of a wall near the window. Once I bump it so hard it felt like its going to bleed. The "sea-facing" room was quite misleading. On such a small island, you can see the sea from almost any elevated building. Simply being high enough to catch a glimpse of the sea doesn't make it a genuine sea-facing room, we didn't book the sea facing room anyway so no issues on that part. The bathroom is not very clean and very very conjusted. You can't even stand while showering because you could bump your head on the roof of the loft. you have to sit down in the bath tub while showering which makes it more difficult for us to take a small shower. With this heatwave across the country specially on the island, the fan provided in the room was the smallest one you can think of which is not blowing any air out, just running. The room and specially the bed has a lot of dust, meant its not cleaned properly. I paid £250+ for 3 night and not even a single night I slept properly. We went there to enjoy and relax but this hotel made the trip very frustrating. The room have no ammenities at all, The wifi signals was literally so weak that if you on the other side of the room it disconnects and we are talking about a very small room. The host told us to not have any food in the room at all which we respectfully accepted and abide by the rules. No fridge to store any food, not even allowed to heat up our own food which we brought from our home. I wanted some ice and asked the host to which he said its not "RITZ" that you expect these things from this hotel. I have stayed in many places across the UK with literally a less amount of what I paid to this hotel for more nights but never had this bad and terrible experience. This place should not be a hotel at all. I would never stay there again ever and with this amount. I would have slept more comfortably in my car instead of booking this hotel. Such a terrible experience."
The Royal Hotel ★★★★
"Excellent service. Lots of friendly, helpful staff. Choice of menu options for both breakfast and dinner extensive and a la carte. Evening entertainment was a piano soloist and really lovely. Classic bedroom choice was very comfortable. The classic choice of room decor is slightly worn and facilities outdated but non the less charming."
The Wight Mouse Inn ★★★
"Very friendly staff, great food and comfortable room. Had a lovely holiday- would recommend 👌🏻"
The Chequers Inn ★★★★
"We found this looking for a pub in the area we are staying in and had an amazing meal. Food choices were good and generous portions and the children's menu too. Made room for a dessert and that was delicious too so we will definitely be going back before we head home."
The Lakes Rookley ★★★★★
"Pretty good, does the job, it’s a caravan init. Nice lake, nice ducks, and a powerhouse duo. Justified!"
St Maur ★★★★
"This was a delightful holiday location in a lovely clean hotel with excellent breakfasts and very friendly and helpful staff. Free snooker on a full size table was an added bonus."
Lisle Combe ★★★★
"One of the best b & bs we've ever stayed in, tucked away in lovely grounds about a mile and a half from Ventnor, close to the Botanic Garden. You can walk through the vast garden to the coastal path and also down to a small cove. The house is huge but has only three b & b bedrooms, all beautifully fitted out. The guests lounge and dining room are large and you felt as though you were in a stately home! Robert and Ruth were the perfect hosts, always on hand for advice about the area and help out with any problems, you almost felt like one of the family. The breakfasts were lovely and you had a wide choice to choose from, no need for much lunch! Recommend the Spyglass Inn for food at night, no bookings taken, the Bonchurch Inn for great Italian food, The Bistro and La Cantina in Ventnor, booking advisable. We were lucky with the weather and visited Mottistone Gardens, Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle, our favourites. For a peaceful place to stay at with perfect hosts and great rooms you won't find any better on the Isle of Wight."
Koala Cottage ★★★★★
"Wonderful stay. Both hosts were very friendly, knowledgeable and pulled out all the stops to make us comfortable. Lovely room… patio doors onto a pretty seating area and huge bathroom. Air con was a welcome surprise as was the decanter of sherry. Epic breakfast each morning. Godshill is beautiful. Would return x"
