Hostellerie de l'Hotel de Ville

This is the worst hostel I've ever been to. I really wouldn't recommend it. The room was desolate and dirty, there were several pieces of furniture that were broken (toilet chair, fridge), the water couldn't drain, the floor is scratchy and uncomfortable to walk on, so we only walked in the rooms with shoes, the fridge was also broken... I've never felt so uncomfortable in a hostel as during the days I spent there. The pictures on the website give an unrealistic picture and do NOT correspond to reality at all. In addition, the street was very noisy during the day and at night, so that I had trouble sleeping. The view from the window was a dirty roof terrace. When I reported all these points to the servant, he seemed to be essentially uninterested and then said the boss was on vacation. Worst hostel ever and just plain rude! Visionapartments Rue des Communaux - Contactless Check-IN

I booked a balcony room so was on the fifth floor. Be aware that some rooms on this floor are not step free and some do not face the lake. Pros, Convenient for buses and trains, local supermarkets, there's a larger Coop five minutes walk away. The mattress was comfy and the design of the room and bathroom well thought out. Cons, Thin pillows Confusing lighting system Ineffective air con Although cups, glasses, a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee machine are provided, there's no other cutlery or plates etc to prepare and eat meals in the 'apartment' you have to either use the shared kitchen in the basement (not convenient or appealing to some, myself included) or have bring own/manage with disposables purchased elsewhere. Also, the crossroads near the apartment appears to be a hang out for dealing (if you've seen The Wire, sitting on the balcony was like a season one stakeout) so walking around on your own and or late at night could feel a bit risky, especially as you must use your own key code to enter the building after 6pm and there's nobody on reception at night and weekends. This is not the fault of the building but something to be aware of. I did ask about the Montreux Riviera Card before check in and was told it would be in my room upon arrival, it wasn't but a quick email and it was ready for collection in the morning. That said, had it been the weekend I would have been upset to not have it for use during the whole of my stay. Overall the staff I interacted with were helpful and the help email team were responsive. However, I am not sure I would choose to stay here again as I was looking for a fully functioning kitchenette and a greater presence from staff.

Base Vevey

The geographical position is superior, the train station can be reached within five minutes on foot; the room facilities are clean and comfortable, and the kitchen utensils are all available and all are Siemens kitchenware. However, the extra bed is opened and used by the sofa in the living room. This sofa bed is the most unsatisfactory. The two sides are slightly tilted up and recessed in the middle. If you sleep for one night, your whole body muscles will be painful, so it is not recommended for four people to live in an extra bed. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and I highly recommend that everyone choose to live here, it is convenient to go to Montreux and the nearby vineyards.
Hotel des Trois Couronnes

This hotel is surprisingly good. This Swiss tour is absolutely bright. Over a hundred years of history, celebrity politicians and famous Chaplin have stayed. The location is particularly good, the lake, the window can be seen the famous big fork, very close to the food museum, 8-10 minutes walk from Vevey train station, no need to take a taxi, there is a magical 201 road on the way to the road, with the hotel Free travellers can go to Xiyong Castle, most funi and go to the train station; the hotel decoration is particularly simple and elegant; the waiter is very warm and patient, answer all questions, English is also very good, this is in the bus station Vevey in French is especially rare; the room is provided with slippers, toiletries and a toothbrush with my name. It is very pleasant to surprise. There is also free bottled water and snacks in the room. The breakfast must be chosen. It is really a five-star breakfast. Plate and quality, in short, a very satisfied one night, beyond the expected experience
Grand Hotel du Lac
4.5/574 Reviews
The hotel under Rolleischaudeau has good hygiene and service. All the toiletries are Guerlain. A regular room and a suite have been set. The supplies are slightly different. The suite room size is good, the lake view is average, not the lake view. The hotel is not big, parking is 40 Swiss francs a day, the food is average, the breakfast is not much, the restaurant tastes average, the suite must be set with children, the ordinary room is too small, the location of Vevey is average, it is recommended to live in Montreux or Lausanne
Astra Vevey Hotel & Restaurant

Very nice, good location, right in the heart of the city, big rooms and full facilities. Most importantly, there are slippers, there are slippers, there are slippers! !! Throughout the trip, there were 11 hotels in the three countries, and they had slippers lol, which is very important. It's close to the train station. We left the train 10 minutes before leaving. We went out, checked out, dragged our luggage to the platform, and waited 5 minutes for the train to arrive. Anyway, highly recommended
