Hôtel Mercure Millau

I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Millau and, unfortunately, found the experience to be far below expectations—especially for a hotel carrying the Mercure name. The bedroom was in a shabby and tired state, with dated furnishings and a general feeling of neglect. In-room facilities were extremely limited, lacking the basic comforts one would expect even from a mid-range hotel. Most concerning was the non-functioning air conditioning, which made the room uncomfortably warm and virtually unbearable during the night. Customer service was another disappointment. Staff were largely indifferent, offering little assistance or concern when issues were raised. The reception area, if you can call it that, is simply a small café table—hardly the professional first impression one would expect. It gave the distinct impression of a hotel that is neither well-managed nor particularly welcoming. Despite submitting a formal complaint about these issues, I have yet to receive any response or acknowledgment. This lack of accountability only reinforces the poor impression left by my stay. I would advise future travellers to look elsewhere until this property addresses these fundamental shortcomings. Sadly, it does not reflect the standards typically associated with the Mercure brand.

Perfect getaway Absolutely amazimg, Staff, drinks and food were amazing

We had a 7th floor room with terrace overlooking Millau and the famous Millau viaduct. The room was dated, but in good shape. Hotel has a private paying parking just around the corner. The hotel is probably from the 80th’s and lacks charm, but it is well situated at the edge of the old city center.

Hotel is located in the centre of Millau and has a secure car park for cars and motorcycles, there is a charge for using the car park. The Mecure and the Ibis share the same building and staff, the first 4 floors are Ibis and the reaming floors are Mecure. Unfortunatley, although the Mecure rooms have been given a facelift you can still clearly see that they were Ibis rooms before. The Mercure has it own breakfast room and does provide a nice breakfast with plenty of choice and good quality products.
