Hotel les Glycines and Spa 4 Stars

What an unexpected gem of a hotel it was on our cycling holiday in the Dordogne in early May! We absolutely loved our room, a nice tote bag gifted to us by the hotel, the wonderful breakfast, the gorgeous garden, and most helpful people working at the reception and the hotel. But the most memorable thing about our stay at Les Glycines was a gastronomic experience we had there at our dinner. The attention to detail in presentation, the deep knowledge of the dishes and ingredients by the waiting staff, their charm and professionalism, the chefs’ imaginative ideas and unparalleled techniques, the celebration of the local seasonal ingredients, and the inventiveness of the dishes, all made that dinner an absolute pleasure and a gastronomic highlight of our trip through the Dordogne area. Thank you everyone who works at the hotel and in the kitchen. You made our 2-nights stay at Les Glycines very memorable.

Excellent location at the end of the town and walkable to village restaurants and the museum. The hotel seemed newly renovated. Our room adjoined a well manicured park. The decor is contemporary and comfortable. Dinner at the gourmet restaurant was excellent but the breakfast was disappointing with too few choices for the price.

Nestled in the Dordorgne valley on the edge of the hamlet of Les Eyzies (home to the caves of our forefathers ~ Cro Magnon) Les Glycines is now a Michelin star rated hotel. My family stayed there for three nights in 3 clean, fresh, quiet, air-conditioned rooms. Camille, the energetic and welcoming front desk lady, was very helpful. We had dinner at the beautiful terrace overlooking the gardens and pool. The dinner was delicious, and the the attention to every detail was impressive. Service, location, friendliness and attentiveness were all excellent. I will be back, and take advantage of the spa next time!

Three of us went to the Bistrot at "Les Glycines" hotel for a birthday lunch. We live in another village and decided to try some thing out of our usual restaurant choices. We had a truly fantastic lunch, the food was excellent and perfectly prepared and well-described for what it was, but it was the service that topped everything. Alain was our main waiter, and he was attentive, responsive and genuinely engaging with a great smile, and he attended to everything we requested. Bravo to the young waitstaff team we had - it made a great experience just fantastic. We would definitely return for the food (excellent hot foie gras) and ambience, but mostly because of a positive service experience with Alain and his female colleague.

This hotel, restaurant and spa is really fabulous. The staff spoke fluent English which was particularly helpful given our limited French. The room was one of the best we have stayed in (junior suite) so comfy with luxury toiletries and quiet air con overlooking the splendid gardens. The Michelin star restaurant was fabulous and they catered perfectly for my 9 year old son who had his first ever Michelin meal and loved it! The pool and gardens are stunning and well maintained. We didn’t try the spa ( a regret) but so much to see and do in the area it kept us busy! I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s a true gem in the heart of the dordogne and well worth the money we spent staying there. Huge thanks to all the staff!
