We immediately felt welcome at the newly opened quinta, which is very tastefully furnished and of high quality with attention to detail. The combination of old granite masonry and modern infrastructure is superbly executed. We stayed in Casa 1B. The impressively designed living area with a large dining table, a kitchen equipped with high-quality appliances, a fireplace, and two large, comfortable sofas immediately made you feel at home. Unfortunately, at the beginning of March, it was still a bit too cold for the wonderful, large pool or the outdoor kitchen. Two large bedrooms with comfortable beds, each with its own bathroom and guest toilet, perfectly round out the picture. The surrounding area is also easy to explore with e-bikes. There is much to marvel at in the surrounding area. Starting with Santa Luzia, which you can see up to on your way back from the nearby north beach... I would definitely recommend taking the historic train or walking up there! The view of the city, the river, and the Atlantic is fantastic! You can walk or cycle for miles along the north beach. Viana do Castello and nearby Braga, Ponte de Lima and Valenca, with their historic city centers, offer much to see.
