Grand Hotel Royal

We had an upgrade, and the room on the 5th floor was divided into several sections and quite spacious. There was a large swimming pool, lunch was reasonably priced (€18), and parking was €15. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection, including fresh orange juice made to order. The only downside was the 11:00 AM check-out time, and we even received a phone call a few minutes later.

The hotel has been operating since 1907 and they try as much as possible to preserve the history of this place, while being there, you really feel like you are in the past, the spirit of culture and aristocracy. The staff is friendly and very responsive. Breakfast is quite plentiful for European hotels. But when choosing a hotel, keep in mind that it is really very old. And everything in the hotel supports this style, interior, furniture. We were pleased with our two-night stay, but for a longer stay we would have preferred a more modern hotel

Splendid hotel, ancient structure overlooking the Viareggio promenade. Rooms that respect the style of the building with the comfort of modernity. Impeccable service and courteous staff available to satisfy every customer request. Stellar breakfasts, rich and for every taste and need. managed to maintain my diet without having to ask for particular instructions. Everything was available. Swimming pool surrounded by the greenery of the hotel park, with lifeguard available and bar for light lunches to be consumed directly on site. Impeccably kept park full of flowers and plants. I finally made my childhood dream of staying in this amazing hotel come true and the reality far surpassed the fantasy. Thank you for these two wonderful days.

Kindness, care and great attention towards its customers on the part of the hotel and the bathing establishment affiliated with the hotel, enough to make even just one day of holiday special and enjoyable!
