The location is perfect. The hotel is wonderful, with beautiful, clean rooms. We ate many meals here and the food is incredible. We enjoyed trying the Michelin restaurant. The food was equally beautiful, delicious and abundant. Most importantly, the service was incredible, from the front desk staff to the restaurant servers. We highly recommend this hotel in a beautiful resort town.

Most accommodating staff we have ever met. Simple things like always a smile. On last day our taxi arrived very early when we were enjoying breakfast , so we stopped and got our luggage. By the time we got downstairs there was a bag prepared spontaneously by the breakfast staff so we could enjoy a meal later! On another evening we accidentally came downstairs with a bag we didn’t need. I asked if I could leave it in reception and collect on returning. On getting back we found that the staff had taken it up to our room. Simply put the staff care!

Only for your information about this hotel: No pool No gym No coffee machine in the room No free bikes No private beach for free Extra charge for omelette 5 star? For Euro 347 for only 20m2 the price-performance ratio was definitely not ok. As a Relais and Chateau member, I’m very disappointed.

This hotel is comfortable and has an excellent location on the Promenade. The included breakfast was good, but the price for the room exceeded its value (there were no festivals - in fact, the Promenade was very quiet and it seemed we were there in the off season). It's location is convenient for day trips to Cinque Terre, Lucca,, and Pisa, although it is a 20-minute walk to the train station. The Michelin starred restaurant - Lunasia was weirdly empty; we never saw more than three tables in the very large space.

My husband and I had been traveling for a number of weeks throughout Italy. We were looking forward to a relaxing stay by the water and thought that we had found the perfect hotel. It was not to be. Much to our surprise, our stay at Hotel Plaza e de Russie was a terrible experience for us. Mainly due to the staff. It seemed as if they had no or very little training on guest relations. Our stay at this hotel was a terrible one.

The worst hotel experience we have ever had. REALLY. We were aghast to find the staff dismissive, rude, and untruthful. Our stay here has made us question reviews - are they written by management or by actual guests. From our experience it seems to be the former.

If you decide to stay in this hotel, I strongly suggest you to take pictures of every remote corner of the room before accepting it. They accused us to have damaged a stool we have not even touched or moved during our staying of one night at this hotel. So they are forcing us to pay 200€ saying that their cleaning lady yesterday didn’t find that damage. We asked to show us the process of checking the room and evidences of us having provoked the damage. They answered they are not allowed to show it. Additionally nothing special in this hotel to justify the price and extremely loud in the night. We were here one night before taking the boat just to relax and they ruined our time.

Great hotel, willing to please its guests. Beautiful large rooms, great location. Front desk was wonderful! Morning breakfasts were so tasty and they had a great selection of food. The waitresses in the morning could not be nicer! Would visit again.
