I had a work project nearby and seeing the number of crickets in the workplace, I was concerned about the hotel. I had no issues seeing any in the room; there were some sugar ants (the super tiny ones) which I know are hard to get rid of. So long as you don’t leave food out, you shouldn’t see but a few. There was a dead cricket in the hallway which didn’t get vacuumed or swept up while I was there. The front desk agent, Mackenzie, was very nice. The others were nice as well but not as welcoming. There is some inconsistency with the rooms in regards to air conditioner controls. One room I had was controlled by the wall; the other from the unit itself. Neither did a great job at keeping a consistent temperature but that might be due to the outdoor temperature which was very hot.

Nice hotel. I’ve been staying here when I’m in Victoria for about 15 years so I’ve seen all the changes. It’s older and been renovated a lot. Rooms are average the only issue is when you turn the water on it comes out brown then it turned clear . Beds are comfortable and rooms r clean.
