Our stay at the Victoria Falls Safari Club was one of the highlights of our time in Zimbabwe. We had considered whether the extra expense of staying at the Safari Club rather than the Lodge was worth it, and I can say without hesitation that it was. We had a huge suite, included breakfast, sunset drinks, and access to the Club’s facilities that added a level of comfort and exclusivity that made the stay feel truly special. And the staff were outstanding—every single person we encountered provided genuine service excellence, always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant was another highlight, with consistently excellent food that made dining on property an easy choice. But what really sets the Safari Club apart is its location. The property looks out onto a wide-open expanse of African bush, with a water hole that attracts an incredible variety of wildlife. There is something magical about sitting quietly and watching animals come and go in their natural surroundings—it gives you a sense that you are experiencing Africa rather than simply staying at a hotel. The Safari Club also provides a complimentary shuttle to Victoria Falls and local shopping, making it easy to explore the area without needing transportation of your own. One practical tip for travelers: bring U.S. dollars in cash. The U.S. dollar is the only currency accepted for cash transactions in Zimbabwe, so don't assume you’ll be able to rely on exchanging other currencies once you arrive. ALSO, be sure to take your Malaria medication before arrival and bring plenty of bug spray. Overall, the Victoria Falls Safari Club was absolutely worth the additional cost for us, and I would gladly choose it again.
