Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien

This is a chain hotel, less than a 10-minute walk from the station, located in a charming little alley. There's a Hofer and another supermarket nearby, and Wein & Co is right across the street, perfect for buying wine. The popular bakery, Offerl, is also close by. Overall, it's very convenient. The hotel building is older, but the rooms seem to have been recently renovated. Everything was generally fine and quite convenient.

The alley outside the hotel is decorated with colorful umbrellas, which is quite unique. The room, though not large, was perfectly adequate. The air conditioning worked well, and there was even a standing fan. Breakfast options were a bit limited, mostly cold dishes, with only eggs, bacon, and sausages served hot. They did have freshly made omelets, and sometimes the fruit quality was good. The biggest downside was the shower stall, which was quite small and drained very slowly. The hotel's location is quite convenient, with several supermarkets nearby. It's only about a 7-8 minute walk to the Airport Express and just 5 minutes to the subway station. If you drink bottled beverages, you can save the plastic bottles and cans; the nearest supermarket downstairs has a recycling machine that gives you €0.25 per item, supporting eco-friendly practices!

The environment was good and the transportation was convenient. The downside was that housekeeping only came once during my three-night stay, and they didn't clean the room or replace the slippers. The slanted ceiling in this room made it easy to bump your head when showering or walking around; I had to stoop to shower. And it was a corner room, even though I had specifically requested not to have one.
