Ruby Lissi Hotel Vienna by IHG

We travelled all the way from Australia. 3 days before arrival we emailed them to let them know we will be arriving early and as we have travelled over 24hours we would appreciate an early check in as we arrive at the hotel at around 8am. However, upon arrival we talked to a staff at reception named Nipun. We asked him nicely, we are aware that check in is 3pm however we have travelled so far and if he could note if a room is available if we could possibly early check in. He said straight away without even checking no. Then we said we sent and email and got a response that it has been noted. However, it seemed like he had no clue about it and who ever replied saying it has been noted have not actually noted it. The service was comparable to a hostel service he did not smile or had any welcoming words to the guests. We understood rooms were not available yet that early in the morning so we waited patiently. We waited 4 hours. At around 12 we started to get impatient as we saw more than 5-6 guests arriving and checking in getting their rooms. Even though we have been sitting there waiting for 4 hours. No sense or priority at all. He could have shuffled the room or noted it since we came it or let HK know to prioritise cleaning our room first but no he did not do that until I asked him to at 12. After he said he now told the housekeeping to clean our room first it took another hour and a half. In the end we got to check in at around 2pm… from 8 am. We own a hotel back home and know how it works. We only picked this place because our friends have booked rooms here and wanted us to stay at the same place. Eventually at almost two a white local staff that was leaving the job that day switched the rooms around and checked us in. He was really hospitable and nice. Personally would not employ a staff like Nipun at all the most unwelcoming staff and is not suited to work in hospitality at all. If anything we felt he was ****** the only people waiting at the lobby for their rooms were all Asians. All the white guests or local that spoke the language more than 10 of them came and got their rooms straight away. The room way okay no fridge and no toilet privacy. In general would not come back here again.

Amazeballs place would definitely stay there again... The decor is unique.

Omg….i had a terrible room close to elevator, room number 1 so let me tell you you want be able to sleep because all the people who are taking elevator you will be able to hear every conversation, laghing, quarelling and finally you wont be able to rest, there is no one use slippers in the room…i asked for room service if there is possibility to bring water in the room(the guy on reception told no)my hands were busy with couple bags and i couldnt hold the bottle water and he told is not possible to bring water insane🤪location is ok but the entrance of the hotel not so pretty overall i didnt enjoy my stay with them!but thanks to the girl in the morning she proposed some coffee

Excellent hotel. Well located with new modern design throughout and very pleasant place to be. Very close to the shops and river. Which is ideal to get around with ease.

Location was good for the price . Toilet no privacy . Air con was okay. Clean. Good size Good service Easy to locate . Felt safe

Good location and very comfortable. It value of money, will stay there again

Great staff and they are extremely helpful, Hotel is pretty new and compact, good for just sleeping. Definitely recommend this place !
