JI Hotel Vientiane Mekong Riverside

The hotel is new and beautiful. The lobby on the first floor smells great, and the outdoor lounge area is lovely and a good place to smoke. There's also underground parking. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location and environment are excellent, especially the rooftop infinity pool with its breathtaking views of the Mekong River. However, the strong smell of renovation in the rooms, especially those not facing the sun, was quite off-putting. As the second highest-rated luxury hotel in Vientiane, I'd hope they'd provide an air purifier in every room in the future. Placing them in public areas on each floor seems pointless. The air purifier on the fifth floor had a broken motor, creating an extremely loud noise, and it was never replaced. Additionally, the hotel's smart control system was very uncomfortable to use. The panel lacks proximity sensors, making it invisible at night. Voice control is also far away, and the system often glitches; pressing the panel at night would even turn on the TV. The air conditioning in the room worked very well, but the lobby air conditioning was poor. Also, the exquisite teapot only holds one bottle of water, and it overflows when boiled.

This is the first-choice hotel for my boss when traveling to Thailand. The environment is elegant, the transportation is convenient, and the food is fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor. The staff's service attitude is thoughtful and warm; it feels just like home.

Extremely satisfied! From check-in, laundry, pool, breakfast, taxi service, to airport transfers, there's absolutely nothing to fault. All the staff, including the cleaning ladies and restaurant employees, were incredibly warm and welcoming, and understood basic Chinese. Every time I walked through the lobby, the staff generously offered bottled water, which was surprising – even though it's not expensive, it was a very nice touch. Highly recommend! The hotel's location is great, making it easy and quick to get a taxi. The room was clean and odor-free. Plus, having a pool and a cafe on the eighth floor is a really nice bonus. Definitely recommend it!

The rooms are just like those back home. The front desk offers currency exchange for old bills and can also arrange tuk-tuk bookings. It's incredibly clean with unobstructed views!
