"The hotel and Vigevano city have been a pleasant discovery. We have received a beautiful reception and a small aperitif with local products. There was a problem with the temperature but they were trying to solve it promptly. There was a very good breakfast. We'll be back."

"This is a sad excuse for a hotel. The rooms smelled horribly, the screens on the windows had holes in them thus bugs were coming into the room. It was very hot when we stayed so we tried to use the air conditioning and it would not turn on. We ended up speaking to the owner and they informed us that the city does not allow them to turn on the air conditioning which is the most ridiculous excuse ever. The majority of the employees tried to be helpful but it looks like the owner is all about making money and not really caring about the guests experience. One of our family members had to leave early but the owner still required them to pay for the nights that they were not staying there. Overall not a good experience!"

Nuovo Hotel Vigevano

"Worse than this has never happened to me. Reservation made with booking specifying double rooms with separate beds and parking for 8 bikes, all confirmed by booking via email. Upon arrival, the hotel was closed and they told us it was open only for us because it was undergoing total renovation. The rooms were not prepared as requested but with double beds in front of our complaints the reception told us that if we wanted there were rooms with separate beds but they cost more (tactic to sell you something different and collect some extra money?) not we gave in, we screamed and finally at 5pm they separated our beds. For bikes the answer is "leave them in the courtyard as no one steals here" so there is no dedicated room. Clean room and so was the bathroom. Window shutter not working could not be lowered. Said of the problem, response: "We know, we will have it repaired". In the meantime, we dismantled it and lowered it manually. No accessories in the bathroom (shampoo, bath foam, glasses, etc.). I'm sorry to say that the staff are not up to their job. They also said that they had contacted us once to find out how to set up the rooms but we didn't respond. We didn't see any calls but if it was so essential to know despite the specifications in the booking we could have tried several times. In short, I hope it improves with the restructuring and finds staff more suited to the role but for the moment the opinion is terrible. Breakfast is €10 if you want it, we went to have it at the bar next door for much less."

"I spent two nights at this B&B in May in the Dimora del Teatro building. (The building next door houses the B&B's reception area.) My room was spacious and quiet. It had an unremarkable view of the courtyard and other buildings, but I was very pleased to find that I could park my car in the courtyard of the Dimora del Teatro. There appeared to be about 5 bedrooms in this building, all on the same floor. You are given a key to the courtyard gate. The rooms are one flight up once inside the courtyard, and you have a key to this door as well. Once inside, there is a small breakfast room. The breakfast is simple (yogurt and a croissant). Coffee, tea and biscuits are available at anytime. The bed in my room was a little hard for my tastes, and the shower was accessed by about 3 steep steps. This could be a little precarious for some older travelers. It is nicely decorated (modern). The location is excellent as it's very nearby the sites and main square but provides a tranquil place to stay. The rates are very reasonable. The restaurant next door, La Drogheria, (independent of the B&B) is good. The Leonardiana museum about Leonardo da Vinci is very good (with original sketchbooks and drawings - amazing)."
