Bow Homes by Como en Casa
"Our recent stay at Bow Homes was, unfortunately, a complete disaster, entirely due to the extensive and incredibly loud demolition and construction happening right next door. From 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, our ”relaxing vacation” was instead filled with constant banging, drilling, and shouting. The noise was so pervasive that it was impossible to sleep past 0730, and spending any time in the apartment during the day was out of the question. What should have been a peaceful retreat became an unbearable cacophony. The most baffling and frankly unacceptable aspect of this situation is that the owners, Bow Homes by Como en Casa, were fully aware of the ongoing construction. The neighboring building was covered in scaffolding, a clear indication of the significant work taking place. Despite this, they chose to rent out the apartment at full price and, more egregiously, without any prior warning to us. We were completely blindsided by the disruption. When we complained, their initial response was an apology, which we appreciated. However, their proposed solution — a mere 20% refund — was insulting given that the our stay were utterly disrupted. They acknowledged the inconvenience but refused to offer a more substantial refund (we requested 50%), claiming it would make their business ”unsustainable.” They even offered us the option to cancel and find another accommodation during our stay, which is hardly a practical solution when you’re already settled in a foreign city. Their communication revealed a concerning lack of regard for guest experience. They explicitly stated that warning future customers about the noise would be ”bad for business,” effectively prioritizing their profits over transparency and customer satisfaction. This attitude is unacceptable. Future guests deserve to know what they are walking into, especially when it fundamentally impacts the usability and enjoyment of the accommodation. We have video and audio evidence of the incessant noise, clearly demonstrating the horrific conditions we endured. This was not a minor inconvenience; it was a fundamental breach of the expectation of a peaceful and comfortable stay. 1 out of 10 stars Warning to future customers: Be aware that the building next door is undergoing major demolition and reconstruction. Expect extremely loud banging, drilling, and shouting from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. It is difficult, if not impossible, to spend time in the apartment during the day, and you will be woken up very early by the noise. The owners are aware of this issue but have stated they will not advise future customers, and they are unwilling to offer adequate compensation for the disruption. If you value peace and quiet during your vacation, look elsewhere."
Hotel Celta
"From the moment I arrived, I noticed quite poor customer service: the reception staff was unfriendly, and any questions seemed like an annoyance. The most concerning thing was the way the staff treated me. There was a tense atmosphere, and it was clear they weren't respected, which reflects poorly on the hotel's management. As a guest, this directly affects the experience. If the staff doesn't feel well treated, it's difficult for them to provide service. The cleanliness of the hotel isn't bad, but it could be improved. I wouldn't recommend the hotel, and I hope they take steps to improve customer service and the treatment of their employees."
Hotel Sercotel Tres Luces
"The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel is very clean and the rooms are very clean and the restaurant is very comfortable."
Hotel Vigo Los Galeones Affiliated by Meliá
"The room was nice, clean and modern. The hotel looks like has been renovated not long ago. It was quiet and closed to town center."
Hotel Maroa Vigo
"I recently stayed at Hotel Maroa Vigo and had a fantastic experience. The hotel’s location is ideal, situated between Plaza de Compostela and the ferry terminal for the Cíes Islands, making it convenient for exploring both the city and the beautiful surrounding areas. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, offering all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any queries or recommendations for local attractions and dining. The only minor drawbacks were the absence of hair conditioner and a small kettle in the room to make a cup of tea but for the price of the room I will not complain."
Hotel O'Pazo
"Wonderful, friendly, small hotel with lots of character. All the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Quiet location with free parking. Breakfast was included and excellent value for money. Lovely set menu evening meal. Although no air conditioning the windows were openable."
Hotel Atlántico Vigo
"Excellent"
Pensión Residencia Buenos Aires
"close to the city center , room was not too comfortable but price is fair"
Hotel Vigo Plaza
"We liked it a lot, it is very close to Príncipe and therefore to the center, the hotel has the typical services and although it is a little old, it has everything, even for a little more you can have breakfast right there. The bed is very comfortable and the room is spacious as is the closet. The bathtub was a little battered as was the sink faucet but for the price it is very good."
