It’s a nice place to stay near the beautiful beach with friendly staff.
Mind: in dec/jan most restaurants (icl that of the hotel is closed), so that is problem.
You can rent a bike and try some bars in the neighborhood. The appartements (part of Praia Resort do have cooking facilities.
The place is superb for people to stay in winter.
I just have experienced almost 3 weeks blue sky from 18 dec - 3 jan.

It was fabulous! Our rooms were cleaned everyday with amazing care and skill. The receptionist was always there to help us, spoke amazing English and was extremely kind and inviting! Our breakfast was so tasty ! Best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had in my life. It’s incredibly close to the beach and to bars, shops and restaurants. Both pools were beautiful and incredibly inviting! Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone as was best holiday I’ve ever been on and would easily be back! Also the night sky was gorgeous, low light pollution and so many shooting stars. It was all a dream come true! Thank you so much to all the staff.

The resort consists of a hotel and an apartment complex. Hotel is old but attractive. Only the hotel rooms have a direct sea view. It consists of two floors without an elevator. The rooms are large, quite noisy, and simply furnished. Shower in the bath, small fridge, and good, wide beds. You can boil water. Cleaning every day. Very friendly staff. From the room you walked onto a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. And via steps directly into the large and beautiful palm garden and further directly to the dunes and the sea. Wonderful! And what peace! In the garden there is also a large swimming pool with sun loungers. So everything at hand. Breakfast very complete and very good. Through a double discount promotion we only paid 45 euros per room including breakfast. So in February. The disadvantage is that you either have to go to the village for dinner every evening with a hotel bike or your own car. Hotel restaurant closed.

I went to this hotel for the second year in a row. I love the friendliness, the welcome, the food and the location of the resort. However, this year something happened that had never happened anywhere before. The room cleaning staff came by very early, sometimes we were still sleeping. Even with the role of not disturbing the door, they knocked. Several times we said that we would be out of the room in 10 minutes and we did. They usually had the stroller in a side room. What happened was that they didn't come back to our room, even though they saw that we had already left or even after we told them that they could go clean and with the cleaning paper placed on the door. We spent several days without cleaning and had to go to reception to ask for toilet paper. Last year wasn't like that. If breakfast is until 10:30, I don't need to leave the room at 9, especially because we get bad weather with rain. Otherwise, nothing to point out.

A pleasant surprise. It needed an update on the infrastructure, but other than that it is impeccable. Excellent restaurant service. D. Sandra and Sr. Monteiro are irreproachable. As well as the rest of the staff. We will come back and recommend.
