Wonderful hosts, room was spacious with luxury linens. Although we were off season, and it was quiet the town itself is a lovely place to stroll around. It is the little things that made this stay special, and I'd list them but then it wouldn't be a surprise. Isabel helped us find a restaurant which was a few doors down, and had fabulous food, and sat down and chatted with is for quite a bit. I would rate this as an upscale boutique hotel, worth the price. next time I would choose the room upstairs that faces the water, what a view!

I booked our stay at Quinta das Varandas, in Vila Nova de Milfontes, through the Booking platform. The two features that most moved us to make this reservation were the balcony in the room (which is even advertised through the photos during the booking process) and the private entrance to the accommodation. Neither was true and your advertising is false. When we arrived, the receptionist told us that the only room available was on the ground floor, next to reception. The room did not have a balcony, the entrance was through the reception door (like all the rooms in this building) and the sound insulation was so bad that everything could be heard (for example, guests entering and leaving, reception service, etc. .). The receptionist gave us the opportunity to move to a room with a balcony (yet no private entrance) on our last night. We declined the suggestion because we considered that the work that involved moving everything to two floors above without an elevator would not be worth it for the short time we would have use of the space.
