Volcano Forest Inn
8.2 (93 reviews)

Volcano Forest Inn ★★★

📍 19-4034 Old Volcano Rd, Volcano

"One bed faces the door, and the other faces a mirror; it's a bit creepy at night. Also, the hotel's entrance is hard to spot at night. There's just a quiet courtyard outside. The location is good, close to the volcano."

Volcano Village Estates
9.2 (54 reviews)

Volcano Village Estates ★★★

📍 11-3968 Hale Ohia Rd, Volcano

"10 minutes drive from the Volcano Park, the volcano erupts the next day, EP32. Since it was very close to the scene, I was really happy. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was unexpectedly delicious. There are a lot of food within 10 minutes of driving nearby, but they are all closed at 21:30. We looked at the volcano that day not because the hotel prepared breakfast one night in advance and put it in the refrigerator, we were going to be hungry."

Aloha Crater Lodge
8.7 (109 reviews)

Aloha Crater Lodge ★★★

📍 11-3966 Lanihuli Rd, Volcano

"The pillow smells good, but I brought a disposable pillowcase. Everything else is good."

Chalet Kilauea
8.5 (90 reviews)

Chalet Kilauea ★★★★

📍 19-4178 Wright Rd, Volcano

"The hotel is a jungle hotel, the small environment is better, the birds and flowers are fragrant. The hotel's service is fully self-service, basically no host, so you need to solve it yourself. Check in at 3 o'clock, check out at 11 o'clock, you need to strictly abide by the time. It is very convenient to go to the Volcano Park, about 5 minutes drive into the park."

Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant
9.5 (112 reviews)

Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant ★★★

📍 19-3948 Old Volcano Rd, Volcano

"It is recommended to stay near the volcano park. This hotel is only 5 minutes away from the volcano park, which is very convenient. The volcano park is too big and it takes at least two days to visit it, so we chose to stay in this hotel nearby so that we can visit the volcano park carefully. In addition, the hotel has a century-old restaurant, which is not bad, but the price is expensive."

Lava Lodge at Hale Kilauea
8.6 (60 reviews)

Lava Lodge at Hale Kilauea ★★★

📍 19-4084 Old Volcano Rd, Volcano

Lokahi Lodge
8.8 (101 reviews)

Lokahi Lodge ★★

📍 19-4050 Kalanikoa Rd, Volcano

"It's remote and a bit hard to find at night, so it's best to arrive before dark. There's no reception staff. It's very natural; you can hear insects and birds chirping. The facilities are a bit old, but it's close to the volcano park."

Volcano Village Lodge
9.3 (60 reviews)

Volcano Village Lodge ★★★★

📍 19-4183 Kawailehua Rd, Volcano

"The Lodge is absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed our time there and the staff were lovely. It's a very small place, so it's quiet and feels remote, but its proximity to the park is fantastic. Only a few minutes and you're at the entrance! We were lucky enough to witness an eruption at Kilauea and the whole experience felt incredibly special. Highly recommend this charming place!"

Volcano Acres Ranch B&B
9.6 (42 reviews)

Volcano Acres Ranch B&B ★★★

📍 19-4252 Kawailehua Rd, Volcano

"I’ve stayed at Volcano Acres Ranch on three separate occasions (friends trip, couples trip and family trip) and each visit has been wonderful. Theresa ensures we have everything we need to be comfortable. Breakfasts with egg sandwich, waffles or omelet with a papaya bowl are delicious. Chickens, ducks, goats, pig and donkey out back are so fun especially for kids! And staying 10 mins outside Volcanoes NP was a huge plus for checking out Kīlauea at night and beating the crowds in the morning. Thank you for another great stay."

Volcano Village Estates ★★★
"The hotel is located two kilometers away from the Big Island Volcano Park in Hawaii. It is time to go to the Volcano Park to see the eruption. The hotel is very beautiful and actually stays in the tropical rain forest. The price of the three-person suite is very suitable, the room is very cost-effective, but the breakfast is more sloppy, breakfast without tax 15 knives per person, there is a quick-frozen pancake and a little fruit, it is recommended not to book breakfast, others are quite satisfactory."

Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant ★★★
"This is a hotel that has to be evaluated. If you happen to have a plan to travel on the Big Island of Hawaii, staying here is the best choice! First of all, the overall environment is very comfortable and beautiful! All the service staff are very enthusiastic, the food in the restaurant is also delicious, in short, I like it very much! If you bring your children back in the future, you must stay here again! Very close to the Volcano Park, 7 minutes drive, because the park ticket is valid within 7 days, it is very convenient whether it is raining or a little tired or eating a meal to continue to play."

"Pros: cute welcome cerimony, so close to volcano park, flashlights provided, nice fireplace to heat the room, cute rocking chairs perfect for morning coffee. Cons: stains on the quit they had on our bed, property is small with close by neighbors (one is a dog), our room was attached to the office so we had to keep our blinds closed because people could see right in. Shower curtain rod actually fell on my husband's head during his shower. Room had a dehumidifier which filled during the night then woke us up to a loud alarm before turning off. Our smoke detector was missing. And the light over the bathroom sink flickered. Summary: disappointed for the price. I Let the staff know before leaving and leaving a review for others to revise their expectations. They need to re-evaluate their price point."

"This property is a gem. Our kid loved sleeping on the lanai/sunroom. The suite was spacious, beds were comfortable. The whole space was very clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious. The proximity to the National park was ideal. We stayed in the Punawai Hale. We loved it."

"I don't care about bugs. But I care a lot about not saying things in advance, and then at the last minute he starts to say how the door gives the key, how to open the door, how to communicate"
