Big bed but very small room so no space for luggage. Okay for one night but nothing more. The most rude, obnoxious “greeting” from a male receptionist who should not be employed in/ own(?) a service business. The description of the restaurant is cleverly misleading. The “four star” hotel provides only a set dinner menu each day. No changes are permitted without giving 24 hours notice. The chef is apparently incapable of / has no ingredients to / cannot/ is unwilling to provide ANY alternative."

"If you are looking for a nice hotel in Gerardmer to use as a base for touring the Vosges, then look no further. The hotel has excellent views over the lake and it is a 30 minute walk into the town. Lovely rooms, with an excellent shower. We had one of the newer rooms over the pool and enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evening. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Would thoroughly recommend."
