"Free round-trip airport transfer (available upon request): This needs to be booked 48 hours in advance. I emailed them this morning saying they couldn't pick me up. A taxi from the airport costs about 120 yuan. The area is quite remote; the hotel has to arrange transportation for both arrival and departure. It's more expensive than a taxi, but the cars are better, the drivers are more courteous, and you can negotiate the price. They also mentioned a paid airport transfer on the return trip, but after showing them the booking, they still arranged a free one. Facilities: Relatively old, but has a swimming pool and gym. Cleanliness: A complete mess. The room was infested with cockroaches, the bathroom was teeming with them, and there were leftover toothpicks on the floor. I slept there for three days and got bitten all over. There are a lot of insects here, ants are common. The tap water was yellow. Environment: Not far from the sea, but the beach is rough and small. It looks okay from a distance. It's a bit prickly to walk on. The weather is gloomy when it's bad; definitely avoid the rainy season. And be careful of sunburn. You absolutely need to take a taxi to get around. Just a few steps after turning left from the main gate, the path disappears, and the area is completely desolate. Once you're settled in, don't even think about going anywhere else. Service: Breakfast is a buffet; you choose your main course from the menu. The taste is average, not outrageous. There's welcome fruit. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming; in fact, almost everyone in Fiji, except for the airport staff, is friendly. Before leaving, I had a spa treatment, the $100 kind. When I paid, they said they'd given it to me for free because I hadn't had a good experience, which was quite unexpected. On the way there, the taxi driver asked me why I didn't come with my girlfriend. On the way back, I thought that if I had come with her, she would have become my ex-girlfriend. If it weren't for Ctrip's intervention, I probably would have changed hotels already. When coming to Fiji, definitely book your hotel according to the season!!!"

"The First Landing seems a bit out of touch and was surely one of the first hotels in the area. It now has a retro charm in many ways, but when I was there, there was a lot of painting and renovation work going on. The grounds are incredibly spacious and very quiet. The rooms are quite large, and there are big verandas in front of the bungalows, protected by mosquito nets, similar to those in Florida. However, the prices are a bit steep, and you have to shell out 10 Fijian dollars for a bottle of still water. Massages are also significantly cheaper in town, though perhaps not as idyllic in the spa pavilion. Otherwise, it's located outside of Nadi, and you really need a car. Next door (within walking distance) is the yacht harbor with a nice bar, where there's always something going on and locals and tourists mingle. For the days leading up to your connecting flight, it's definitely nicer and more relaxing than staying at Nadi Beach next to the runway."

"We stayed at this boutique unique place one night on the way to Tonga and one night returning from Tonga. Both times the experience was wonderful. It started with a complimentary airport pick up and then drop off to our next destination on the way back. We arrived very early jet lagged after an overnight flight and were offered a day room until our rooms were ready after lunch. We very much appreciated the hospitality and personal approach. We went for a swim in a pool, took a nap, had a tasty lunch and checked into our bungalows. The surroundings were lush in a jungle setting, our bungalows were spacious with AC and all modern amenities . The Orchid arranged for a van to take us into town for a festival in the evening. Again, very convenient and accommodating. During our second stay, we took a ride to botanical gardens. It was a nice way to spend a few hours. Again, the Orchid accommodated us with a late check out for our evening flight home. When in Nadi, there is no other place I would stay but The Orchid. It offers privacy, relaxed atmosphere, impeccable service, hospitality. Thank you to all that made our stay special."
