Me and my partner spent a weekend at Hotel Solisko. It has perfect location, just at the bank of the pitoresque lake Štrbské pleso. It has very nice rooms, comfy beds and especially nice service, inclduding great food. Hotel manager Katka and chef Martin are very friendly and welcoming. They give you great tips what to do, where to go. The hotel is great for couples, families and is also pet friendly. It has got small, but nice welness and you can have a 1 hour long massage just for 35 EUR. I definitely recommend and looking forward to return soon.

I would like to share the negative experience we had in Solisko restaurant. We waited for over half an hour for someone to take our order even though the restaurant was empty. Finally, when the order arrived, one meal was missing and we had to ask twice when the last meal is going to arrive. Nobody could answer us and the waiters just continued ignoring us. We waited for over 15 minutes for someone to come back to us. By this time, the other meals were cold and nobody even apologised for their mistake. The chicken we ordered was dried on one side, the other side was still pink and not grilled well. We also had to wait for the bill for another half an hour which was very frustrating as by this time we just wanted to leave. We had a good experience at this place few years back, this is the reason we went back. However, after this experience we will not be going there ever again. Very poor customer service, expensive, very poor quality food, unwilling staff. Save yourself the money and go somewhere else.
