They say you can’t go home again, but this beautiful, historic 112 year old home in downtown Waco, Texas proves different. Each visitor is certain to fall in love with her charm, and handcrafted details of a bygone era. Constructed in a time when people prided themselves on craftsmanship, the beauty and details remain timeless today. The moment you drive up to the property, you will be greeted by a grand front porch with large columns, carved details, and white wicker rockers. Perfect for enjoying morning coffee or sipping afternoon ice tea. Once guests step inside, they will be visually treated to handcrafted decor such as the original stained glass windows, transoms, original hand carved fireplace mantel which matches the design in the original stained glass windows, hardwood floors, tall ceilings, and even a sleep in porch with original glass windows. Other timeless details include a claw foot tub, and a pedestal sink marked with the actual date the sink was constructed. This fabulous home started construction in 1907 and was completed in 1910. It has passed through three more families before miraculously returning to a family member, the great, great granddaughter of the original owners. Growing up, she had heard many stories of the home and its beauty but was under the impression that it was no longer standing. Then, serendipitously, on her birthday, in the summer of 2019, long time family friend called to see if she knew who these people were that built this gorgeous 112 year old home and had the same last name (maiden) as she. The friend looking for real estate in Waco, had stumbled across this gorgeous historic home in downtown Waco within walking distance to the farmers market, the Silos and Austin Ave businesses. The moment she heard the description of the home, she knew it was her great great grandparents! With blessings from her friend, she purchased the home and has lovingly worked to restore the original beauty while adding modern and personal touches throughout the home. Each bedroom has been decorated with a theme or nod to family members, local artists and friends. Our home is walking distance (less than half a mile) to the Magnolia Silos, Bakery, and new shopping complex. Also close by are Spice Village, Farmers Market, interesting shops & restaurants and about a mile to Baylor’s campus. We are also only 15 minutes to BSR Cable Park. Fannie's On 5th has been a part of this neighborhood for 113 years and appreciate the relationships we've built with our neighboring residents. Therefore, we kindly request that our guests be thoughtful of our neighbors regarding excessive noise and unruly behavior. Our goal is for everyone to enjoy their stay while being respectful to our neighbors. We ask you have no large gatherings that exceed the number of guest indicated at the time of booking. If any of our neighbors report excessive noise or unruly behavior, your deposit may be forfeited and disruptive individuals will be asked to leave the property. Within these respectful parameters, we hope you will enjoy your stay Donnie K. We do our very best to insure your stay at any of our homes is enjoying and relaxing as possible. 1. Absolutely NO smoking. 2. No pets. 3. Large balcony located upstairs. No more than 12 at a time on this balcony. 4. Children under 2 not recommended. We have stairs to the 2nd floor. Low banister railings. Stairs to enter the house in the front and back. 5. We have a narrow entrance from the street. You will need to take a wide turn when entering the driveway. 6. No street parking. There is ample parking behind the home. 7. Keep the volume down at night. Be respectful, courteous and thoughtful of the neighbors who live here. Family weekend We had a great family weekend visiting family and seeing the sites of Waco. The house fit our family exactly and location was perfect to walk to most of our activities!

Perfect for Families This is a beautiful historical space to have family or friends. There are so many thoughtful details such as coffee, extra items in the pantry and lots of towels. The different porches are fantastic for relaxing, chatting and having coffee. Do yourself a favor and stay here, you'll never want to stay anywhere else in Waco.

Perfect for family gathering We had a group of ten in town for a wedding downtown and this was the perfect house for us to gather and enjoy being with each other.

Framily Waco Trip Fannie’s on Fifth did not disappoint……. The home was conviently located, beautifully appointed and overall amazing! The kitchen, dining room, bedrooms and bathrooms were great. We enjoyed ourselves and even walked to downtown, The Silos and The Spice Village. If we come back to Waco we will try to stay there again. We are all recommending it to our friends. We utilized all of the porches and gathering spots. It was Great!

Girls Trip to Waco Great place for a girls trip to Waco! Enjoyed shopping at Magnolia and eating out at good restaurants in town. House was just the right size for 7 of us women. We enjoyed nights together around the dining room table sharing stories and quality girl time! Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Waco Trip We stayed at this beautiful home for a college reunion and it was perfect! Easy parking, downtown and near Baylor campus, very clean home and comfortable beds. We already mentioned that we want to stay here again for next years trip. 5 stars!!

Family fun getaway A group of 7 adults celebrating a family birthday. The house was clean and nicely decorated (not too much, not too little). The rooms were spacious and we enjoyed spending time at the house, The beds were comfortable. The location was central to everything. The management service was friendly and prompt. Having the 2 bedrooms downstairs made it very convenient for my elderly family members. I would stay there again and highly recommend it.

Great Second stay at Fannies on 5th in Waco. Great for a big group. We had 10 people. Good parking for lots of cars in back. Driveway a bit narrow though. Highly recommend. Management group great to wrk with.
