Felbridge Gatwick Hotel & Spa ★★★★

📍 London Rd, East Grinstead

"More expensive than the Premiere Inn, but disappointingly not that much better. Bathroom dated."

Royal Tunbridge Wells

Royal Tunbridge Wells ★★★

📍 Merevale House, Tunbridge Wells

"My wife and I stayed for two nights whilst visiting Tunbridge Wells. The room and shower room were cleaned and had everything we needed. We did eat in the restaurant and the service and food were very good, apart from one thing. On our second night we decided to eat in the restaurant and went down at 19:30. We were meeting friends in a nearby pub at 20:30. We did not see any notice stating a booking was required to eat in the restaurant. We went to the restaurant and there was around eight people already there. There was a notice where we had to wait "to be seated". The waitress told us she had to speak to her manager and returned to tell us that we could not have table until 20:15. We could not understand this as the restaurant was almost empty. Perhaps a notice should be displayed stating a booking is required? So, we had to eat elsewhere."

📍 23 High St, Battle

"The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly.Really looked after well . On two nights couldn’t use the car park"

Dale Hill Hotel
8.3 (86 reviews)

Dale Hill Hotel ★★★★

📍 Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Club, Dale Hill, Ticehurst

"The location and the gold club are stunning. The bed was very comfortable and the room new. However, the staff was very unhelpful and unwelcoming. They couldn’t help with taxi booking, they didn’t accommodate an early check-in request even thought it was given over 2 months in advance. The request for a quiet room resulted in one where there were groups of men practicing golf right in front of the balcony."

Forest Edge Motel ★★★★
"We stayed in a log cabin which was well away from the road and quiet. The accommodation was superb. Clean and comfortable with wardrobe space, double bed, sofa and large TV. The kitchen area is well equipped with Fridge, toaster, small hob and microwave plus a table and seating for 4. The continental breakfast is very generous with a large loaf of bread and plenty of butter and jams , cereal, fresh milk and orange juice. Plus tea and coffee. Good shower with nice selection of toiletries. We would highly recommend ."

"Out of all the Premier Inns my wife and I stay at this has to be one of the friendliest and well run by the staff there. The manager Cheryl is always working with her staff on the floor amongst the guests and nothing is ever too much trouble. Receptionist Lucy was absolutely charming. We always feel very welcome and you can see that all the guests are well looked after. When we were there for 2 nights from 30th March 2026 they had the u16 USA women's hockey team staying. You would imagine that the breakfast restaurant would have been struggling to keep up but chef Ricky did an amazing job keeping the buffet breakfast topped up. Cheryl was there again at the helm and also another kind waitress who I didn't catch the name of. (Sorry. From Ukraine I believe). The food was fantastic and not a hint of stress amongst the staff. What with a very nice comfortable room, great food and wonderful staff what more could you wish for. Thank you to all of the staff at Premier Inn, Royal Tunbridge Wells."

"Used this as a convenient stay over to attend a function locally. It was much better than expected. We were able to use the swimming pool and sauna before we went out. We had a lunch in the bar which was reasonably priced and good quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really nice and hot, great selection fruit yoghurt cereal and full English with tea and coffee. I would use this hotel again"
