"We (parents and 12-jgood son) were allowed to spend 5 beautiful days at the hotel at the end of August. We are unrestlessly enthusiastic - the equipment is excellent, the staff very nice. We were literally read from our eyes all wishes. We have enjoyed especially the beautiful hall bath and the wonderful sauna landscape, great for children is also the Streichel Zoo, the playroom, playground and the indoor mini golf facilities."

Plenty of parking to rear and garden out the front. All very informal and relaxing. Continental Breakfast offering excellent, with variation each day. Weren't serving evening meals, but loads of restaurants nearby"

"We have just returned from a lovely week in Wagrain at the sport hotel. The hotel is wonderful with high end facilities, a number of nice swimming pools, great food and drinks good facilities for the children. It is very family friendly and a perfect base for days out in the mountains, climbing, walking, cycling and playing. I would highly recommend for a summer vacation. The staff were great, and very helpful in supporting with our lack of German! We will be back!"

The staff of the hotel was very friendly, they could speak to us in Spanish and they recommended us a very good restaurant to have dinner. The buffet breakfast is included in the price and it was good. The hotel has parking. On the other hand, it does not have a lift. The room is a bit small for 3 people."

"I pleaded for this place to allow for my booking to be used at a different time and not wanting a refund but the lack of consideration and concern given for our situation tells me all i need to know about management here. I had lost my luggage and that had delayed our plans for being able to arrive in time and safely. Anyways we stayed at the alps im Switzerland instead and wont be keen to stay here in the future too.. hope management are happy with their way of managing a crisis situation. Thanks!"

"We had a very relaxing time during our all-inclusive stay. The room was big enough, not huge but comfortable for the 4 of us. Very clean and well-serviced each day. We requested a balcony ahead of our arrival and got one without problems. The food was very varied and nice, if there was something we didn't like, there were other options to replace it. We loved the pool area and the terrace. The wellness area was also relaxing. Kids liked the interior playrooms, although the billiard (pool) table could be replaced or at least renewed and propper billiard cue sticks bought, as the ones that are there are worn out completely. The hotel is conveniently located with plenty of activities for families with children. The reception and the restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. The Skybar waiter could have been friendlier, but the service overall was excellent. This was our second stay at the hotel and we would return again."

"If you are looking for a Genuine Austrian experience, give this Hotel a miss. It has absolutely no Austrian charm or atmosphere at all. Sadly, it's run by Mono Chrome staff, most of whom are from Scandinavia with little or no charm at all. The Dining experience is more canteen like, you have to Q on the stairs until the staff unlock the dining room door! Then stand in another Q for main courses. The staff are not attentive, wandering around pole faced. Some can't take a drinks order in German! The food is acceptable but nothing outstanding. The Spa facilities could be enhanced by the hotel if it provided towels for the Sauna area. The room domestic staff require a good talking too, leaving used drinks glasses for a couple of days in the room doesn't look good. Another thing to note is that no cash payments are accepted. It is certainly in a Quiet part of town , that's for sure. So, if you looking for a Hotel with Zero Austrian atmosphere, no Apres ski, dull, this the place for you!"

"Just returned from a week of skiing and this hotel truly surpasses everything. The staff is extremely competent, efficient, and friendly, and everyone is ready to provide perfect service (always with a smile). The rooms are cozy and practically furnished and well-maintained. The hallways always smell pleasant and fresh. Some highlights: the afternoon snack from 3 pm to 5 pm offering both meals and desserts, the beautiful infinity pool with a view of the slopes, the cozy bar also with a view of the slopes, and the private lockers for storing ski gear. The staff at the ski rental shop downstairs are also very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is extensive and very well presented. Dinner always features three à la carte menus with table service, and there is a buffet evening once a week. A big thumbs up to the owner(s) for the excellent organization and competence in every aspect. Absolutely everything is thought of, and there is an eye for detail. We will definitely return, and have already booked for next year."

"Our experience at Appartements Schattauer was fantastic. We traveled from the United States as a family of 11 (all adults) and our stay was exceptional. We rented 2 of the 3 bedroom appartements and had more than enough room to congregate while also enjoying privacy to sleep and get ready. Roland, his wife and staff were patient and understanding as we navigated our surroundings and tried to learn the culture. Their recommendations on places to eat, shop, ski and sight see were spot on. Several members of our group enjoyed skiing. Wagrain itself was lovely and we were able to walk everywhere within the town. If you are looking to relax and enjoy your vacation I highly encourage you to stay at this establishment."

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay. The hotel is brand new, with amazing staff and outstanding service. There are so many good things to say about this hotel, and the location is perfect with the ski bus stopping right outside. There is free access to the water park, playgrounds, and the hotel’s lovely animals. The hotel room is beautifully designed, with every detail carefully thought through. The rooms feature a huge balcony and a private sauna with stunning views of the slopes and mountains. The hotel also has the best playroom for children, where we spent hours after skiing. We will definitely be coming back!"
