We just spent 2 weeks in the South Island and as we sat down to reminisce about our holiday, we just kept coming back to Bentleys. It was our favourite place to stay out of all our stops. And it is all because of the hosts - Janine and her family, the wonderful animals, the feeling of home out in the quiet and peaceful countryside, which we are now sorely missing. The house may be simple and unassuming but it had everything we could ever need! We had a barbecue as we watched the sun slowly set, relaxed in the hot tub under a sky of stars, played with the cats and dogs and fed the alpacas. The short stay of 2 nights rejuvenated our soul and senses! We will definitely visit Janine again the next time we return to New Zealand.
