Wakayama Kada Onsen Kada Kaigetsu

It might be quite a long drive (or journey), but the accommodation is very clean and offers a beautiful ocean view. The interior is decorated in a stunning Japanese Ryokan style. There is an onsen where you can soak while enjoying the sea view, and Yukata robes are provided for both men and women. There is also a dining room with an ocean view. Overall, this is another highly recommended place that you should definitely visit and stay at.(WAKAYAMA KADA ONSEN KAIGETSU)

Old hotel but value for money on an Onsen hotel facing to the sea. Car rental travellers preferred with free parking and a bit far from public transport/ supermarket/convenience stores.

It was a stunning experience, excellent services and cleanliness, spectacular view of the sunset while sitting in the hot bath. Also very impressed by Japanese style breakfast & dinner and the room. Thanks for the beautiful memories

I’m a frequent flyer to Japan, every visit to Japan we will stay in a ryokan with onsen. This time we have chosen this hotel because of the review and claimed to be higher end hotel. When we check in on 26/3, we r given a meal time for our dinner and breakfast as usual practice of a ryokan. We went for our meals and onsen on 26/3 (dinner) n 27/3 (breakfast), left our room for around 2hrs straight for both days. We stayed at the highest floor of the hotel. Room was locked, we brought the room key with us. When we check out on 27/3 morning, we notice that my stack of money was missing, yes, a stack of money. A lot of money being stolen. We reported to the person in charge of the hotel and they claimed that they do not have any cctv at the corridor outside of the rooms. They couldn’t check who entered our room with key. So they offered us to file a police report, which we didn’t because we are already rushing to Kyoto for a business meeting. My trip has been ruined and I hope the hotel management take this incident seriously and investigate this issue to prevent more visitors being affected. For travelers who would like to stay in this hotel, please carry your valuables with you always. Even to onsen and to the dining hall. No matter how good this hotel is, I will not go back to this hotel again, because I don’t feel secure and I don’t trust them again. I’ve been to many onsen hotels and ryokan in Japan and this is the first encounter of missing valuables.

A luxurious hotel, cozy and beautiful. Friendly staff, excellent service. A delicious dinner in a pleasant atmosphere with a beautiful view of the sea. Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel is situated at a secluded corner of Wakayama prefecture. It is much preferable to drive here rather than relying on the infrequent hotel shuttle. Public transport is otherwise non existent. There are no restaurants around the hotel. However the hotel provides delicious meals with abundant fresh seafood. The in room dining experience is superb. The hotel staff service is impeccable. The room has a spectacular sea view allowing you to see the sunset on clear days. The onsen also faces the sea which provides a relaxing experience. A downside is that the hotel does not seem to sanitize the slippers for indoor use. All hotel guests had to change to their slippers to access their indoor facilities.

While the exteriors look old, the room was spacious and newly renovated with a beautiful seaview.

room 308 totally has No WiFi signal unless sitting by the door. Wifi signal ok after changed to another roo, them next day.
