Kirklands Hotel

For a start ignore all of the old reviews as those are based on the previous management. As for the new Kirklands…What a fabulous renovation! The new management have really turned the place around. The staff are really lovely, friendly and attentive! The food here is absolutely lovely and I can’t wait to come back for more! The new management have really put in the work to get this place to how it is now. It looks stunning inside and gives a nice warm and welcoming feel! See you again soon!

Called for a quickie and stayed a while!!! I’d noticed loads of activity over past few months and thought I’d take a look!!! So glad I did….we’d avoided the place for years due to it feeling like a coastal social club complete with multiple tv’s loud music even louder clientele who’s language and subject matter was like an episode of Jeremy Kyle!!! WHAT a transformation!!! It’s now what the building deserves to be!!! Clearly loved by the mum and daughter who have made it their home shared with our community!!! I’m sure this building will come back to life reborn as more than a pub but a place to meet and make friends whilst eating and drinking good food and beers in comfortable surroundings. We Plan to visit a Jam session in the back room and try out the quiz!!!! All I’m sure managed with taste friendliness and enthusiasm Good luck ladies but I’m sure you won’t need it…..!!!!

Appalling. That’s putting it polite! Avoid at all costs! Kids running the show with a bar rude manager who clearly doesn’t give training and wants cheap labour. This place no longer values custom and charges through the roof for diabolical service. This place has gone to the dogs! Try the Victoria, woodman or the sun. They have atmosphere and friendly staff with better food. Those places do actually value custom and would gladly spend my weekends in those places.
