"I booked this hotel in February, on a refundable rate, for June, however due to circumstances I had to cancel. I received confirmation of the cancellation, however nearly three months later I have still not been refunded. I contacted them twice in February without reply, and am now raising a dispute with the bank to recover the money. Avoid at all costs."

"I can't see the appeal. It was falling apart. Mould, noise, uncomfortable beds/furniture. Glasses were cracked (see image) and plates were unclean! We were left some fod which was a nice touch but not worth it for the poor quality of the place. I think it needs a serious renovation. I actually left a Google review and a review on the platform i booked through - both removed by the hosts! Hopefully prospective guests read TripAdvisor before they book. Wallesey itself is a lovely little place worth a visit."
