This is a really lovely hotel with very good amenities. My only moan was that the car park is strictly pay no exceptions £4 to park your car at a hotel where you are staying seems a bit wrong.
Although it wouldn’t necessarily put us off going again there are alternative hotels in the area that have free parking for guests.

The room size is okay but the air conditioner is too noisy, which affects your rest a bit. The breakfast was not bad, not to mention rich. There were many people drinking in the lobby bar at night. The parking lot in front of the hotel was very large. There was a very good local British restaurant about 15 minutes' walk around. The steak pie was very delicious. There was one about 15 minutes' walk behind the hotel. The takeaway fish and chips is pretty good, a portion of fish and chips seems to be about 12 pounds, which is quite large.

Great customer service from Jodie on reception. She made us feel so welcome upgraded us after we had told her our bad experience at travelodge in Harlow. This was a last minute booking at 10pm when we arrived Jodie couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely personality.

Great breakfast, comfortable room, good internet, good service. It is certainly not the cheapest or most exciting location, but a solid comfortable experience. Good dining options within a short driving distance. Parking options are ok.

This is a warning. I spent 20 minutes in the hotel car park to drop off my friends suitcase and on return from a 2 week holiday have been hit with a £100 fine for this 20 minutes , the signage in the dark was not clear that I had to pay. Clearly this is more than the cost of a stay at the hotel and a money making scam. For a car park in the middle of the countryside nowhere near London attached to a hotel you don't expect this. It is dissapointing that Marriot uses these scams

Not a great experience and wouldn’t be attending this hotel again. Was met with problem after problem. The hotel itself is a lovely place with stunning grounds and surrounding. The facilities within the faculty were up to standard for example the restaurant. On arrival we was met with a 15 minute wait due to no staff being on reception at the time, (5pm). After checking in we were allocated to a room with a dirty bathroom and a used, unclean toilet. Throughout the night evening the receptionist did not answer the telephone and room service was a lot uncontactable. Our TV was slow and ended up being out of use due to a ‘problem with the internet’. Following from this, our room was reserved with a debit card online. On arrival I made it clear I wanted that card removed and would make a payment with a different card which was done and the payment accepted. The next day the hotel charged the original card again so payment was taken twice. I have now been calling the hotel for two days and Cannot get any answer. Absolute awfully stressful weekend when it was supposed to be a relaxing getaway.
