WHILE IT IS POPULAR, THERE ARE A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND: THERE IS A SMALL PARKING AREA AT THE ACCESS (APROX. $3 FOR PARKING) BATHROOMS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE AT THE ACCESS. THE WALK FROM PARKING AREA TO THE BEACH IS A BIT LONGER THAN MOST AREA ACCESS. IMPORTANT - BECAUSE THIS IS A STATE PARK, AND NOT A WALTON COUNTY BEACH ACCESS, ALCOHOL IS NOT ALLOWED. BEACH SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS LOCATION. WALTON DUNES: WALTON DUNES IS ABOUT 2 MILES TO THE WEST AT THE END OF BEACHFRONT TRAIL. THIS IS A WALTON COUNTY BEACH ACCESS WITH PARKING AND SHORT DISTANCE TO THE BEACH. SANTA CLARA: SANTA CLARA IS A WALTON COUNTY BEACH ACCESS LOCATED NEAR BRAMBLE GROVE ROAD, ABOUT 3.5 MILES TO THE WEST OF PROMINENCE. THIS IS A SCHEDULED STOP FOR THE PROMINENCE FREE BEACH SHUTTLE. PARKING AND BATHROOMS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE AT THE SANTA CLARA ACCESS. IF YOU TAKE THE PROMINENCE SHUTTLE, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOURS OF OPERATION ARE 9 AM TO 3 PM. BEACH ACCESS TO THE EAST: GULF LAKES: THE GULF LAKES ACCESS IS A WALTON COUNTY BEACH ACCESS LOCATED ABOUT .5 MILES TO THE EAST OF PROMINENCE. THIS IS A SMALL ACCESS AND CAN BE EASILY MISSED. PARKING IS NOT AVAILABLE, BUT MAKES FOR A GREAT BIKE RIDE TO THE BEACH. SEA BREEZE: SEA BREEZE IS A WALTON COUNTY BEACH ACCESS THAT IS JUST PAST THE GULF LAKES ACCESS.
