Absolutely heartbroken, Harbor Hotels accommodation prices compared to the area are high. Loved the photos on Trip.com & thought staying on the beach in a novel ocean view capsule would be fun.
We arrived, directional signage virtually obsolete & all facing the wrong way round! Who knew there was a front & back entrance? We trudged our suitcase & bags through the sand, 3 people gave us directions, no one spoke any English, finally arrived and it looked like a dump!
Ungraded sand, bricks, rocks paper, wood just filth everywhere! Furniture sunken into sand, daybed collapsed & covered in garbage, the bar area roof leaking, very old worn out uncared for property, huge clusters of weeds pretending to be gardens! This property needs huge amounts of serious work just to be cleaned up (tractor / bobcat)
Then we got to our “Ocean capsule” the outside was covered in green mould & needs a good pressure wash. Air conditioning was not working, no complimentary bottles of water.
The shower door needs fixing, 2 chairs on deck area falling apart and my partner sat on one of the chairs and it collapsed.
It’s dangerous to walk within the holiday place in bare feet as there is so much garbage everywhere and you could get cut feet!
Breakfast was so disappointing, 1 fried egg on bread (1 piece of bread toasted,1 piece not), one thin piece of some sort of meat, a few slices of dragonfruit and a small yoghurt! There was no tea, no coffee, no juice or water (unless you walk to nearby places and pay 25RMB for a small latte … that’s another story!
The whole Harbor place needs to be seriously cleaned up, it’s not a safe hotel environment, particularly for families.
Personally my partner & I can see an amazing potential for this business, we would love to purchase it and save this business! It deserves to be turned into a beautiful hotel for people to enjoy. If the hotel owners want to sell it, I would consider purchasing it and giving future guests a real beach experience!
