911 Surf Villa Shimei Bay

What a pleasant surprise! This B&B has such a unique style, and the sunlight streaming in creates a wonderful ambiance. It's also impeccably clean. Plus, having a convenience store and a clothing shop right on-site is incredibly handy for anything you might need. The breakfast was quite good too.

I booked this hotel quite late and searched for a long time before stumbling upon this one. It far exceeded my expectations and is perfect for young people! It has a cool American retro style mixed with a Southeast Asian vibe. The front desk staff are all young, lovely girls who are super enthusiastic. The hotel pool is huge, and the breakfast selection is fantastic, especially the Xinglong coffee – it's incredibly delicious!

The room facilities were okay, but the faucets weren't very good, and it was easy to splash water on yourself. The hotel corridors were quite photogenic, and there was a swimming pool. The breakfast was also very good. The only thing I didn't particularly like was that the pool was right outside the room, and it was quite noisy with people talking outside. Overall, I was satisfied.

Located near Shimei Bay, the courtyard has a Southeast Asian island feel, making it great for taking photos. There's a gas station about a kilometer or two away where you can charge your devices. The rooms aren't large, but the bathroom is spacious, and best of all, it has a dehumidifier! This is absolutely essential in Hainan! Clothes dried completely overnight! You can order food at the front desk; the prices are a bit high, but the taste is acceptable. There's no elevator, but the staff helped with our luggage, so it wasn't a problem. The swimming pool water wasn't particularly clean; if you're a germaphobe, you might not want to swim.

Vacationing in Wanning 🏖️ The guesthouse is American-style, quite rare on the island, and the decor is beautiful. The location is great; not by the sea, but has a very tropical feel. It's just a few turns left and right by car. Everything is green, and it rains frequently. Renting a car is highly recommended; it's very convenient to get around. There's also a convenience store inside the guesthouse, perfect for snacking in the evening.

Environment: The swimming pool in the courtyard is beautiful, and the overall style is American retro. It creates a great atmosphere when the lights are on at night. The convenience store, boutique, reception, restaurant, and laundry room next door are all very nice and clean. Cleanliness: Very clean. The tables, chairs, sofa, bedding, and bathroom in the room were all very clean – the cleanliness you'd expect from a guesthouse at this price. The breakfast was delicious! During my two nights there, besides the standard bread, eggs, sausages, fruit, and coffee, everything from the fried noodles to the soup noodles on the second day was incredibly fragrant. Coffee refills were unlimited, haha! There are two super cute, affectionate, and obedient cats – very soothing. I ordered their condensed milk coffee in the afternoon, which was also very delicious. It was slightly sweet but not too sweet; a cup after an afternoon of activities was very relaxing. The location isn't as inconvenient as some people say. Didi (a ride-hailing app) can drop you off right at the door, which is very convenient. It's also very close to the beach and some attractions in Shimei Bay. It's a very worthwhile guesthouse to choose from when visiting Shimei Bay.

This is fantastic! No wonder it's a popular guesthouse. The room is filled with the pleasant scent of wood, and the outdoor pool is also great. Breakfast includes Chinese fried noodles and Western light meals, and they even gave us complimentary coffee ☕️. The fried noodles were delicious too. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Not suitable for families. The rooms are very small. The water taps in the room have separate hot and cold water, making it risky to bathe a baby. There's no makeup mirror, making it difficult for nearsighted mothers to apply makeup. There's only one washer and dryer, and it's often difficult to get one. The hotel's location is too remote; the parking lot is just a dirt road outside. Upon entering, there was a strong odor... Breakfast was provided by a local auntie; the noodles she cooked were decent.

First of all, the service staff were very friendly! The breakfast was good; we tried three different kinds over three days, and the seafood porridge was our favorite! However, the double room was very small, and there was no makeup mirror or full-length mirror. Girls visiting Hainan usually dress up, so this was inappropriate. The small room felt cramped for two people. We changed rooms later due to facility issues; the triple room was much larger and had a full-length mirror. The facilities need improvement. In the first room, the shower would turn on by itself most nights after rain. The TVs in both rooms didn't work properly. In the second room, the bedside table kept opening by itself. Be cautious about the recommended restaurants and boutiques in the rooms; they seem to have some kind of partnership.
