Fairfield House

This guesthouse is awesome! The room we stayed in was just lovely, with lots of attention to details and luxurious touches. The garden is beautiful and it was great to have a beautiful sitting room to use as well. The food was without doubt the best breakfast I've had out of the many guesthouses in which I've stayed. Mandy is a wonderful hostess and I really hope I will be able to stay there again in the future. The village of Warkworth is lovely and has several great options for dinner.

We were greeted with a warm welcome by Mandy who offered to help with our luggage. The house was warm and cosy. Mandy then made us a coffee and showed us how the coffee maker in the hall worked. We sat in the lounge downstairs which was beautifully furnished and devoured her home made cake which I wished I had asked for the recipe. We were only here for one night but we will definitely stay again as our room was perfect. Apart from the comfortable bed, the furnishings were very tasteful. Mandy had thought of everything from a sewing kit, cotton wool, lint remover to a corkscrew. The bathroom was enormous and the whole place was warm and relaxing. Breakfast was good, my husband had the full English and I had the toasted bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon. When we return we will definitely have a walk around the beautiful garden, and enjoy the flowers in the conservatory that wraps around the house.

WOW. We arrived late at 7pm due to car trouble, it was dark and drizzling but Mandy the owner was waiting for us with a warm welcome, and dairy intolerance substitute for tea. From the entrance filled with a huge array of pink and red geraniums, up the majestic wide wooden staircase with charming modern art into a truly delightful room, in restful shades of cream and grey I couldn't have been more happier. Advise of close places to eat was given and we nipped out again for a quick pub dinner. The mattress was like a cloud and I had a wonderful, quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was wonderful as well - 5star all the way - I just wish I lived closer so I could visit again.

We have been staying in Warkworth and at this beautiful guest house on an annual basis for more than 10 years. There are not enough superlatives to say how fabulous this place is. Stunning house and gardens, amazing bedrooms and bathrooms with every need catered for. All spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are fantastic. Lots of choice, freshly cooked and Mandy’s cakes are to die for. Honestly the standards Mandy sets would put a lot of 5 star hotels to shame. The house is in a quiet area just a few minutes walk from the centre of Warkworth. We’ve already booked for next year!

I'll say at the outset that I don't think either of us has ever stayed in such wonderful accommodation: a beautiful but cosy house, comfortable and with every facet just right - it was a real delight. The owners are warm, friendly, hospitable and helpful, putting us at our ease as soon as we arrived. The house is just lovely, with a large garden full of wildlife; our bedroom was spacious, perfectly clean and beautifully furnished with a big, comfortable bed, and a large en-suite bathroom with bathrobes, nice soap, shower gel, etc. Everywhere there was evidence of a consistent eye to detail in furnishings and facilities - not least the home-made cake that appeared in mid-afternoon! Which brings me to the breakfast - a choice from a menu of half-a-dozen items including luscious French toast, muffins or bagels with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, and what was probably the best full English breakfast I've ever had in all my 75 years. It's impossible for us to fault Fairfield House in any way - we had a joyful, restful three nights, and we left feeling pampered and revived.

Found this Guesthouse on local media feed and it certainly lived up to it's reputation. The hosts were fantastic and made you feel like family,the room and the gardens were beautiful, definitely worth a visit. We only stayed one night but wished we'd booked two.
