Safari Plains

Everything about Safari Plains is top notch. The staff make you feel special from arrival to departure. They all seemed to be happy in their work and this showed through in the service they gave. The managers took time to speak to the guests and welcomed any feedback we gave – not that there was any negative. The accommodation is amazing – spotlessly clean, well-appointed and well-spaced between the lodges. Don’t be surprised to find a giraffe on the path outside your door when you leave your lodge though! The food is wonderful; every meal had a varied menu – and you will never be hungry. Our guide Thapelo (Taps) was outstanding. He has incredible expertise and knowledge. He was always determined to find the animals we were hoping to see. The only one we did not see was the elusive leopard. We cannot recommend here enough. I was an exceptional experience that left us with wonderful memories.

We came as part of a group with Travelsphere to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was wonderful from the room to the safari drives. Our guide, Kamo, was so knowledgeable and wanted us to have the best time.

From arrival until the day we departed our every need was catered for by friendly, knowledgeable staff who could not do enough for us. I would recommend Safari plains to anyone looking for a memorable Safari experience.

The game drives were absolutely incredible, giving us unforgettable wildlife encounters that we'll treasure for the rest of our lives. The lodge itself is stunning, the accommodation is beautiful, and every detail has been carefully thought out to create a truly luxurious yet authentic safari experience. The food was simply out of this world. Every meal was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and of an exceptionally high standard. It genuinely felt like dining in a top-class restaurant every day. What made our stay even more special was the warmth, professionalism and genuine kindness of every member of staff. There is excellent wi.fi if you need the news. Set in the middle of the veldt with easy access to the animals. We had a fantastic guide in Michaela who was a fountain of information despite her tender years. She seemed to have an instinct as to where the animals would be. We saw all the big five except the elusive leopard although we did find a pawprint. What a great place to stay, food was out of this world, you could have been in a Michelin star restaurant. The staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The piece de resistance, an electric blanket in the tent, who would have expected that. If you are looking for a safari holiday this is the place to come.
