Got there at 9pm on a Saturday night something went wrong with the inhouse reservations dept not transferring our reservations from a ver popular hotels booking website and it was a long and stressful 30min process to get a room. The lady on the desk was lovely and helpful if inexperienced but when I called the manager on Monday for an explanation he hung up on me saying it was another departments fault. Perhaps some more staff training at the front desk would be very helpful.

We stayed 3 nights over Easter Weekend in a King Bed single room. It was a last minute decision to come and we usually stay in AirBnBs but decided to try this hotel since they have dog friendly lodging and were offering a discount with our Ikon pass. We were so glad we did! All the staff loves dogs and it was so convenient to be able to come check on our dog mid day. The valets made everything so easy for us from unloading and loading our truck (we had a lot of stuff!), including directly delivering our ski equipment to the ski valets. We loved the hot tub after skiing. I also used the on site fitness center which is very nice. It was a bonus that there was a free concert as part of Spring Fling. And, we had the best April spring skiing we’ve ever had at Sugarbush! With the Ikon discount and the fact that they don’t charge extras for things like valet parking or a resort fee, we thought the value was very good.

United Airlines’ crew shortage left us stranded and unable to arrive in VT for our 20th wedding anniversary trip in early March 2023. We paid the full hotel bill per the contract but we believe they could have given us a break, even a partial refund, due to extenuating circumstances. We will return to Warren eventually because we were married there, but we will definitely look at other lodging options in the area rather than risk losing a tall stack of bills to Clay Brook Hotel & Residences a second time. The management could have done something to soften the blow of a wrecked celebration but chose not to. That disappointment will stick with us for a long time just as our fond memories of getting married in Warren have lasted 20 years.

We have bee doing a weekend at Claybrook every winter for years now, but took a break during Covid. Coming back this year, I noticed that the rooms had dramatically increased in price - that's passable, as so many other things have, too. But ultimately we found the price simply unjustifiable, largely because of the ultra dated, poor quality pullout bed. I can't recall if we did 2-bedroom units before, or if maybe other units we had had better pullout beds... or maybe when our kids were younger they could swing a terrible mattress better than they can now (they are 10 and 12 now). But ultimately, inflation aside, there is simply no way my family can justify paying $1,000/night for a room that "sleeps 4" but the pullout couch is out of the 1980s. The mattress on the pullout was probably only 4-6" thick, and it was covered by one of those flimsy, thin, gross old mattress pads with big elastics that slides around on the mattress. Then it was just sheets and a brown, also ancient-seeming, pilled type of blanket. Sorry, no, nobody who is shelling out $1,000/night would ever sleep on a mattress like this, with bedding like that. If we come back, we'd need to bring our own air mattresses and sleeping bags, as even that would be better. But for the price, Claybrook should provide an updated, quality pullout couch with a decent mattress and nice bedding. Also - Slow drain in the bathroom sink and shower, not cool for $1k/night. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Went for a wedding. Inn is attractive and the service was ok. Restaurant was very good as was service there. Interesting choice for the staff to clean the coffee machine in the lobby at 9:30 on a Sunday morning. Why not wait until afternoon? Room and bed was ok, but bed was oversized as was TV hutch. Hard to get around them at night to go to the bathroom. Overall - it was fine, but not worth the expense, especially during off ski season.

Absolutely outstanding. Staff at Claybrook Lodge so helpful, so kind. The valets were phenomenal. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend a stay at the lodge! Restaurants were great, so nice on those cold nights that we didn't have to go far!
