Under Canvas Zion

If you love stargazing, this glamping site is awesome! The tents are spacious and clean. I especially liked the shadow of plants on the canvas in the afternoon. My kids enjoyed smores and watching the stars. For people not loving nature as much, this site might be a little remote. There is a part of unpaved road. And cellular signal may also vary.

There are few amenities because it's designed to be off grid. The tent is nice and so is the bedding. Because it's an off grid camp, you have to deal with taking a shower by pulling a lever. Let go of the lever and water shuts off. Same for the sink. Also, no electricity or wifi. You have to rely on battery packs. Tents can get hot. They offer small fans that do help. However, this experience was enough for me. Others may love it and want to return.

My husband and I had an amazing time here for our anniversary! We had a stargazer tent and we enjoyed the stars every night! The tent was so spacious and we had our personal bathroom and hot water. We were also able to use the furnace in the tent to heat up the room at night, it was so cozy! The complimentary coffee/tea in the morning as well as complimentary smores in the evening was great and we definitely utilized both. There was also some free arts and crafts that we did and took home to commemorate the trip. One of the night staff, Rhys, suggested a scenic drive on the mesa that wasn't populated and the views were INCREDIBLE!! She mentioned it one night, took the time to map it out for us and gave us the directions the next morning. All of the staff was wonderful and helpful, and we had a fantastic time. Thank you!! Will definitely be visiting Under Canvas again!

The one thing that was terrible was when it got cold at night, the potbelly stove utilized to heat the tent had to be manned all night. The wood to keep the tent warm was only good for about a half hour, so the temperature dropped dramatically if it was not constantly being fed wood. That should not be.

This is a wonderful way to visit Zion. There is very little cell service and no wifi but there is a restaurant and things to do (games to play and stars to see).

Under Canvas was a great experience. Food was very good and the free s'mores in the evening were wonderful.

The place itself is amazing, but unfortunately the service really let us down. There wasn’t much friendliness or hospitality, and a big part of the staff came off as rude. What we expected to be a relaxing experience turned out to be the complete opposite. When we arrived, the rules weren’t explained clearly. The girl at reception mentioned that we couldn’t bring drinks into the tent and that we had to consume them in the restaurant area. Later, when we tried to have our drinks at the restaurant, the manager rudely told us the opposite—that we should be drinking them in the tent. It was confusing and honestly stressful, since every staff member told us something different. It’s a shame because we chose this place to celebrate my friend’s birthday and have a great time, but we didn’t really get to enjoy it :( Honestly, when you book a stay, hospitality and service mean everything
