"Asaka is a newly popular hotel and community in Beihai, bearing a striking resemblance to Aranya in Qinhuangdao. The hotel's prices are very budget-friendly, offering great value for money in Beihai. We visited during the National Day holiday, when prices at popular hotels typically soar 2-3 times. While Asaka Hotel also had a significant premium, it remained quite competitive compared to the beachfront hotels at Silver Beach. We initially stayed two nights at Silver Beach, then explored the Asaka community, found it impressive, and decided to move to the Ferris Wheel Seaview Resort. **⛲️Environment:** Asaka Hotel currently primarily consists of the Ferris Wheel, Summit, and other sub-brand resorts. These are essentially hotel-style apartments designed and decorated within the community's high-rise residential buildings. They feature IKEA furniture and appliances, with a Nordic design aesthetic. The main differences lie in location, orientation, and floor level. This time, we stayed in a Deluxe Seaview Room in the annex building of the Ferris Wheel Resort. It offered expansive views of the southeast-facing beach and the adorable Ferris Wheel 🎡 nearby. The room was a one-bedroom, one-living room, one-bathroom setup, similar to a small suite. There was also a private small courtyard at the room entrance with a washing machine and exhaust fan, perfect for storing odds and ends or drying clothes. A sizable balcony allowed for enjoying the view, relaxing, and catching the sunrise if you woke up early. Both the hotel and the room were relatively new and very clean. The living room had a small refrigerator and a stove (though not used). Breakfast was served as a set meal in the staff canteen; it was simple but decent. Alternatively, you could dine at one of the restaurants within the park. The service was quite good, with quick responses to inquiries. Overall, it felt like a well-serviced hotel-style apartment, suitable for an extended staycation. **🎡Facilities:** Asaka Park boasts a large outdoor water park, a children's pool, an indoor children's playground, and a children's library, making it ideal for families with kids—this is its biggest selling point compared to other hotels! Unfortunately, we encountered Typhoon 🌀 Muifa, which led to the closure of both indoor and outdoor children's facilities for several days. There are also adult pools, a cinema, a bookstore, an art gallery, several specialty restaurants and bars, and charming plazas with art sculptures and installations perfect for relaxing and taking photos. Around the park, you'll find numerous art installations and landscaped gardens with a similar theme. To the south are the landmark Ferris Wheel and a larger water park, though they were not open during my visit. Overall, Asaka is a community with a strong sense of design and plenty of recreational opportunities, well worth exploring, photographing, or even staying for a short visit. **🌀Typhoon Days:** We happened to be there during a direct hit from a typhoon, which significantly impacted our experience. The water park and children's playground were closed, and park restaurants were overcrowded. Waking up in the middle of the night, I could hear the howling wind outside and the slight swaying of the ceiling lamp inside 🫨 After the typhoon passed, the outdoor areas were a mess… However, I was impressed to see many service staff standing firm at their posts, ensuring the normal operation of the hotel community. **🪏Finally, let's talk about the downsides:** The hotel rooms are all located in high-rise buildings, but each building only has 2-4 elevators. When you factor in delivery personnel, you can imagine how busy it gets during peak hours. Our luck was pretty good, but we still had to wait a long time for elevators a few times. I suggest strictly enforcing the rule that delivery personnel are not allowed into the hotel. Surprisingly, the in-room phone in the annex building couldn't dial the front desk. We had to use our mobile phones to call the hotel's main line, and some front desk staff weren't even aware of this issue. I recommend fixing the direct-dial phone problem or at least informing guests upon check-in and providing alternative contact methods."

"The room is simply great, the first choice for family travel, the ceiling of Beihai Hotel Industry, many supporting facilities, the park has cinemas, cafes, powder shops, restaurants, art galleries, swimming pools, children's playgrounds, and various sculptures with different shapes. It is simply a paradise for vacation. You can play for a day without leaving the park. It is highly recommended to bring children to live."

" The hotel is located in Qiaogang Beach  It is very convenient to eat and play in the water. The room environment is very good, very comfortable and clean. The boss at the front desk is very nice. I took the child to help me carry my suitcase up and down the stairs. There is a swimming pool on the first floor that cleans the water regularly. It is very clean. "When I visited Beihai last April, I was captivated by Asaka, and right then I decided I would definitely stay there someday. I chose Summit over Ferris Wheel Hotel, as it was a personal obsession. For families, I'd probably recommend the Ferris Wheel Hotel instead. Regarding parking at Summit: Although the parking lot isn't directly underneath the hotel, I found the hotel's shuttle service to be very prompt and convenient. So, parking wasn't a big issue. If you don't have much luggage, it's also a walkable distance—it's really not far, unless you're traveling with elderly people. Regarding food delivery: While external food delivery can't come directly to your room at Summit, it can be delivered to the Beihai Light Cinema reception on the first floor. This is quite convenient; you just take the elevator down to pick it up. I booked a Superior Sea View King Room, and the front desk upgraded me to a Deluxe Sea View King Room. The view was truly amazing! I really love the concept of Asaka Hotel, and it's simply a paradise for cat lovers. All in all, I will definitely be going back; one night wasn't nearly enough to experience everything. Next time, I'll try the Ferris Wheel Hotel!"

"Probably can't go on weekends. Too noisy on weekends. The soundproofing is very poor and there are too many children. It was already very noisy outside at 8 o'clock. There were sounds of children running around. We agreed to pick you up at the station. Later it said that Sifu was not there. If you can't pick up the car, you can help call a taxi. . The most difficult thing is the power outages at irregular times throughout the day. Perhaps it is more suitable for couples and best friends to get together. Imagine that it was like what the comments said, that the boss would welcome you with a smile and take you to the beach to catch seafood. But maybe it was too busy and no one said anything. "The most amazing part of the entire trip was actually the hotel. Environment: Our garden view room was upgraded to a sea view room on the top floor with a fantastic view, including the sunrise. The view was breathtaking from the moment we entered the room. Service: The receptionists were all very helpful; Southerners are generally much better at service than Northerners. Facilities: Excellent value for money. It's the same hotel as a neighboring hotel that costs 700-800 RMB per night, so breakfast is served there, and the swimming pool and laundry room are shared. The value is exceptional. Cleanliness: Extremely clean. There was no hair on the bed, and the sheets and blankets were very dry."

"This is an absolutely fantastic guesthouse! The owners are all incredibly kind, the guesthouse itself is very unique, and the decor is very stylish—even the hairdryer is a Dyson! "Beihai is fun and delicious. I come here for a few days every month. Watching the sea is really healing. I like to sit facing the sea and daydream. The sea breeze in this season is quite comfortable and not sticky. There are fewer people in the off-season, so I ate at several restaurants on Qiaogang Street. The desserts were delicious... The hotel I booked is also the style I like. The rooftop is quiet and there is a small swimming pool, hehe. I hope to come again in late March and I hope I can still book this room with a private pool☺️"
