Unbelievable experience!!! What a dream to hop on the ferry to your private island and the amazing Waterford Castle! We were greeted by the amazing Sally at reception who could tell just how excited we were to be here and was so welcoming, as was all the staff. The Suite (Executive) was incredible with all of the period features you would expect in a Castle. I woke up to spotting Snowy - the albino wallaby - out of our window! Dinner and breakfast were both incredible, as was the service. We couldn't fault anything. And yes, Guinness tastes better in a Castle

We had our wedding in Waterford Castle in July 2025, as a local couple we selected the venue as we wanted to stay local for all of friends and family. It was just shy of 2 years from when we booked our wedding date and in that time frame we had the best experience with working with our wedding coordinator Gillian, she ensured everything was taken care of for us with any request or query that we had. On the day of the actual wedding Gillian ensured all pieces ran smoothly which resulted in an amazing day for us. The ensure staff at Waterford Castle are simply some of the best in the business, from the pro shop & clubhouse to the staff in the Castle itself they made sure all of our guests had an amazing time. As any couple on their wedding day you hope that nothing goes wrong or hear of any complaints, we can safely say that everyone of our guests had nothing but praise for the staff at Waterford Castle, they ensured that every guest was accommodated for throughout the day. We would highly recommend Waterford Castle to any couple searching for a wedding venue as you not only will have a magical experience getting married on the most beautiful island but you will also have the best experience ever working with the staff at Waterford Castle. We were there to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday. The staff went above and beyond with all their help to make her day extra special. We enjoyed the grounds and our rooms in the castle were magnificent.

My husband and I dined at Waterford Castle last night, and as always, it was a truly special experience. We visit a few times a year for various special occasions, and it never disappoints. The food was exquisite, just as we've come to expect. The staff are consistently warm and welcoming — Antonio, in particular, always greets us like old friends, which adds such a personal touch. My dietary requirements are handled with ease and care by Antonio, never made to feel like an inconvenience. Everything about our visit was exceptional once again.

Stayed in the self catering lodges. Quality was extremely poor. They were badly in need of repair and refurbishment. Very dated. Beds extremely uncomfortable. Extremely overpriced, would not recommend.

My family and I visited for tea in the afternoon, and it was absolutely lovely. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the hotel is beautiful - I felt like I was at Downtown Abbey. If I go back to Waterford, I'd love to stay here - and my husband would like to visit their golf course.

We stated the Waterford Castle for one night, with my three year-old son. Which was a little scary, but it was absolutely lovely, they were very accommodating of him. We did the picnic for two and it was the most insane amount of food! And it was very yummy and delicious, but I don’t see how Two people could possibly eat that much food. So you could maybe have a so many selection? It was just like a crazy amount of food. We had dinner at the restaurant and that was great and they were again very accommodating of my son and understanding. All in all we had a really lovely visit, the room was very cute. And we did the short walk it was lovely. I know we were very happy with our day and it was definitely a worthwhile break to relax from the rest of our road trip around ireland.
