Very friendly, accommodating staff. More than adequate parking. Room was clean. But generally the state of the decor, furniture and carpets was “tired”. Situated in an ideal spot to explore Ashdown Forest.

A lovely country pub hotel Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, I couldnt fault them. The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren to find the room but still full of charm. Will be back

Comfortable and enjoyable stay with excellent food and drinks. The premises were in need of some cleaning and repairs as the hotel looked a bit tired and somewhat neglected. Staff were professional and attentive throughout.

It was ok Staff was very attentive to our needs. We only ate breakfast there; it was very good. Our room was clean. However, the room was terribly out of date. There were stains on our carpet (carpet needs removed completely). The room was musty. And being a bit warm, it was difficult to air out and cool the room at night as leaving the windows open let in bugs. I would probably stay again given the location and price but I would look very hard elsewhere first.
