Set in the quiet countryside this was a very nice and comfortable hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of choices catering to both European and North American tastes. I dined there several times and had really good meals. It was a perfect starting point for my trips to various Bavarian destinations (Munich, Memmingen, Neuschwanstein, Rothenberg ob der Tauber, and Regensburg.
For me, the only downside was that the bed was somewhat hard but that will depend on your preferences. Despite that downside, I extended my stay from one to six days.

Habe mit meinen Harley-Kumpels am 25.01.2025 die Jahresfeier in diesem erlebt. Menü 70€, Getränke extra.. War unter aller Sauerei. Suppe kalt, leere, kalte Brühe ohne Einlage. Wurde wohl von der Gesellschaft nebenan abgetragen, zusammengeschüttet, und uns serviert. Pfui Teufel. Das Essen selber fad und fantasielos. Der Nachtisch, oder was es auch immer gewesen sein sollte; da fehlen mir die Worte. Wenn man den Hals nicht voll kriegt, nimmt man so ein Event an und verdient schlappe 10.000.--€. Obwohl denen klar sein mußte, daß sie über bucht waren. Das überlaute Gebläse der Heizung im Stadel passte dazu. Wie kann man so dreist sein, mehr als 70 Gästen so den Festabend versauen? MACHEN SIE UM DIESES HAUS EINEN WEITEN BOGEN:

Wir haben uns das Landhotel als Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach Südtirol ausgesucht. Für die Übernachtung auf der Durchreise wählen wir bevorzugt Hotels mit Restaurants, die traditionell- regionale Küche anbieten. Sehr gute Erfahrungen haben wir mit Häusern der Vereinigung "Private Brauereigasthöfe" gemacht. Obwohl im Neumaiers Hirsch kein eigenes Bier mehr gebraut wird, hat der Gasthof unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die ruhige Lage in Autobahn-Nähe und der sichere Parkplatz auf dem Hotelgelände haben uns ebenso gefallen wie die sauberen und ruhigen Zimmer im neugebauten Hoteltrakt. Das moderne Gebäude mit Aufzug ist direkt mit dem historischen Gasthof verbunden. Das alte Gebäude wurde individuell und geschmackvoll renoviert - dabei ist der gemütlich rustikale Charakter der alten Gasträume erhalten geblieben. Das Abendessen war sehr gut und entsprach genau unseren Vorstellungen. Mein Zwiebelrostbraten war von bester Qualität: Zartes Fleisch, eine sehr aromatische Soße und leckere hausgemachte Spätzle. Auch das Schwabenschnitzel mit Bergkäse-Schinken-Füllung war sehr zart und lecker. Überraschend gut schmeckte uns das Allgäuer Meckatzer-Bier zum Essen - das ist eine tolle Alternative zu hausgebrautem Bier. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet mit frischen lokalen Produkten hat uns gut gefallen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und falls wir zukünftig eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in der Nähe von Ulm suchen, ist Neumaiers Hirsch unsere Erste Wahl.
