The hotel does not provide breakfast, but the location of the hotel is very convenient. There is a supermarket within 10 minutes' walk. The train station, long-distance bus (with the train station) station, and the ferry terminal can be walked. It's downhill from Wellington's busiest commercial street, three minutes away. During the day, you can take the elevator down from the office building to the commercial street, and at night you can go down the steps. The hotel has parking.
We booked a double bed room, the bed was big enough, and two people sleep very well. If you have children, you can book a twin room, that is, a large bed and a normal single bed.
The hotel is also very convenient to the airport, and it takes 20 minutes by taxi.
The hotel is very clean, and the washing machine, induction cooker, microwave oven, oven, cooker hood, as well as pots and plates, knives and forks are very complete, making cooking very convenient.
In a word, I like it and I'm satisfied. If I go to Wellington, I will definitely stay in the hotel again.

We arrived here very early as we had been booked on an early flight from Blenheim. we left our luggage and spent the day visiting various places . By three o'clock, when we had been told to come back, we were a bit tired after the early start and lots of walking so were rather dismayed to hear our room wasn't ready. Throughout our three week tour in NZ we heard a lot about staff shortages in the hospitality sector. The receptionist asked housekeeping if they could prioritise our room and about 45 mins later we were able to go up. As compensation for the delay we were given two bottles of wine and some chocolate. We appreciated the gesture although we had said we understood the problems . Our apartment had two bedrooms, one ensuite and the other with a bathroom across the hall. The kitchen was well equipped and we were pleased to have a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a steep slope up to the entrance to this place which may cause difficulties for some. It is very conveniently located for restaurants, shops and attractions. The harbour area is only a 15 to 20 minute walk away, depending on mobility levels. A good base for exploring Wellington.

Great location, right in the city center and close to bars. If youโre ok with noise then itโs a great hotel. We could hear lots of people outside drinking, people in the room next to us all night.
Breakfast was great.
If you are stay for 1 night and are looking for a hotel near the bars then this is a great hotel for you.

Really nice open plan bathroom/wet room and lighting is great for dolling up! Itโs the PERFECT spot for a night out on the town. First of all, the entrance is a staircase, so it is difficult to drag a suitcase.
There was a Korean staff member at the desk, and he was very friendly.
There is an elevator, but it is old, so I only used it to move luggage.
I was on the 1st floor, so I felt like I was on the 2nd floor.
There is a musty smell coming from the hallway.
The desk in the room wasn't cleaned and there was food on it.
The worst part was I never wanted to go to the bathroom again.
There are two restaurants, but the one with a kitchen that we can use is the backpacker's kitchen, located past the desk.
It's a little dirty here too
You have to eat at another restaurant.
The overall review is that the staff is friendly and the service is good, but it is very dirty.

Arrived at the hotel at 10pm, found that the front desk had gone off duty, used the doorbell to call the front desk, and was told that the room card was in a password box. After searching for more than ten minutes, I still couldn't find it. It was with the help of an enthusiastic citizen that I finally found this hard-earned room card! If I didn't have a certain level of English communication skills, I would probably have to sleep on the street ๐

Located near the center of Wellington with easy access to restaurants and shopping areas. This time I arrived in the evening, so there was no problem, but the front desk closes around 9pm, so I think you need to be careful about checking in late. The plan didn't include breakfast, but there was a refrigerator and electric kettle, so I was able to make do with what I bought, so there was no problem. The room was spacious, clean, and adequate for business use.

I travelled to Wellington from Brisbane, so arrived very late into the evening. it was perfect to be staying within the airport. Despite this, there was no aircraft noise that impeded the ability to rest and sleep. Fabulous hotel, even for a solo female traveler, felt very comfortable being in the bar/restaurant on my own. would not hesitate to recommend or return to stay.

Outstanding
GGuest UserStayed for 2 nights on and adults weekend away. Great little hotel, rooms are nice with fully equipped kitchen in the suite. I would recommend the suite rather than room for a bit more space. Nice little touches like Bottled water, an Organic fruit drink and chocolate in your room on arrival. Plus you can help yourself to soft drinks and coffee in the lobby anytime. Came with breakfast (continental) which looked nice but we ate out. Customer service was really god. Very close to everything, Will stay again. The only thing that bothered me was no opening windows, but fresh air vents are in place.
The room was good, decent size , good facilities and right in middle of Wellington. It is a bit odd that front age on street is only a door wide and you catch a lift up to 4th floor reception and thence to room. No parking on site but thye provide space close by: however not easy to get cases from car down narrow steps and onto main street and back again.V convenient for all city centre attractions: TE Papa maybe 15 mis stroll along front: ferry port is not quite as close as it looks on map but still only 5 mins by car through city streets.
GGuest UserBest hotel we have stayed in ..... Ever!!! around the world. Boutique, with sublime attention to detail, & staff that felt like family. Everything catered for. Great location, big rooms, large bathrooms, and great facilities. #1 choice. Lots of little touches that make the difference. Staff could give a lesson to many others !! Thanks
GGuest UserWe have always enjoyed staying at QT Museum Hotel. We were given the option to upgrade to a Seaview room on the top floor with an additional charge. Seeing it is a more quiet room compared to my booking request on the 1st floor near road traffic and rubbish bin area, I paid the extra for the upgrade per night for 2 nights.
Our room was not serviced well the following day. Rubbish bin in the bathroom being the only one was not emptied. The Bath and Shower gel was not replenished, we had to asked for it to be refilled. the cushions on the bed was still on the floor from the night before, the ironing board was still left out - I did not put it back as the iron was still very hot after ironing my dress for my conference that morning. The gym facilities was very tired with all towels being used and the used towels bin was overflowing.
I was very disappointed with my stay this trip, using shortage of staff since Covid is a very old excuse now. Systems and procedures should be in placed by management to ensure the 5 star ratings is upheld. No point upselling or selling more rooms if they cannot keep customers happy to come back again. This was not only my opinion but that of my colleagues. very disappointing!
NNaenae418We have a blast, from the friendly staff, complimentary foods, the room and the aesthetic place. The location is good easy access for foods, entertainment and shop. We enjoy the breakfast it is worth it. A bit sad, the pool is not that well maintain during our stay. Next time, I hope how many people in the room equal to how many the toiletries (ex. Toothbrush) except for shampoo, body wash, conditioner and hand wash. Weโll come again for sure and recommend to people who plans to have a trip in wellington. Hence, the place is warm and overall the facilities and services are the best.

Good hotel in a handy central location. Good reception area, staff were friendly and welcoming. Not a modern hotel by any means but a classic feel to it.
Was assigned a wheelchair accessible room 507, Room was a small queen room that was clean and well appointed. Being a disability accessible room, the bathroom was huge and essentially a wet-room without a bath. Not that I wanted one, but you would expect to see one, normally.
Nearly slipped in the shower as I didn't find the rubber grip mat until after my shower as it was under the towels on the towel rail, where I didn't see it, rather than in the shower on the hand rail where I would.
Good to see they have done away with the plastic bottles for
Had an internal room facing another hotel block without a view, but this meant it was quiet. Wellington can get noisy on a Friday night but I slept well.
Check out took maybe 10 seconds.
Would stay again.

Kkayaking salCheck in was very efficient. Sufficient information given. The building is large and a bit confusing but helpful coloured signage resolves that. They offer evening activities to encourage the visitors to mingle. Bbq was the first one and free!
GGuest UserโI recently stayed atatura Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with any requests. The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to restaurants and shops nearby. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast served at the hotel's restaurant. Overall, I had a great stay at atura Hotel and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a pleasant and hassle-free accommodation.โ
GGuest UserMy stay was disgusting and the receptionist (manager) was rude, mean, dismissive and argumentative. She has no empathy, doesn't care, she acted like I was inconveniencing her by just checking in and checking out. She would stare at me with utter distain. No ounce of customer service skills. Then had the audacity to call me rude and told me to get people skills. I was merely reacting to her being nasty and my taking money. She has no professionalism what so ever constantly acts like she is annoyed. She acted like she owned me and was trying to be my mummy She yelled at me and stole my money. The accommodation is disgusting, I dont even know where to start Upon arrival I thought there was no one there, I was left standing there. I didn't realise the receptionist was in the office ignoring me until a lady with a duffle bag went into the office and I asked the lady if someone was there to which she said yes. So I went to pop head in to say hello and the receptionist set on me growling at me and being nasty telling me to get and go away. She was rude and treated me like a criminal during check in. The room was impossible to find but I found it eventually. She heartless and inconsiderate. It's not a hotel it's a hostel Upon check out the receptionist acted like she was pissed off that I wanted to check out. She growled me because I touched the reception desk, there was some old tape hanging off and I kinda played with it and she just kept growling me and yelling at me saying I was ripping it when I wasn't and she wouldn't let me speak or shut up. I had to yell over her to check me out. She refused to give my money back because there was a hair dye transfer from me bright red hair on a towel. I explained the dye is water soluble and it will wash out. Never mind that my makeup and mascara were on the towels. She staring yelling at me and would only give me 80 dollars in the end. She only gave it to me because I argued with her she was going to take the whole 100. I had folded the towels, emptied the rubbish wipes the floors. She had to unfold the towels like literally look through a customer's washing. She was looking for a reason not to give my money back. When I was trying to explain the room situation she yelled at me and talked over me I was just trying to have a discussion about the issues with the accommodation and she yelled at me and growled at me for not complaining sooner. I can actually raise an issue whenever I please. The fridge leaked in the middle of the night and I used a towel to clean that up. Out of courtesy I placed a towel on a pillow to sleep to avoid hair dye transfer. The room was gross the shared toilet and bathroom were gross there was urine on the underside of the toilets. The shared kitchen area was gross There's like a ventilation system above the bed covered with dust, grime and build up which fell on me and the bed so I pulled it away. No mirrors! The draws and furniture are so old and tatty and smell bad.
ๅๅHotel location is very good, in the center of Wellington, the parking lot is on the upper floor, to go up a steep slope, parking fee 15 NZ / day. The interior decoration is a bit antique and has a sense of history. The downside is that I arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve, and the front desk was closed (should be at 7 pm), saying that I sent an email to me, but I didn't find it in fact. Still the cleaning guy, contacted me, opened the key box, and got the key.
