Lovely helpful lady on reception when I arrived. Unfortunately I was allocated a room on the 2nd floor, it was stiflingly hot and stuffy (it was a very warm day) and the aircon was not working. Went immediately back to reception and was allocated another room where it was working with no fuss. So far, so good. The aircon in the new room was working to a point, not very effective but better than nothing! Had booked breakfast the next morning. When I arrived there was no-one around to check my booking or that I had paid (really wish I hadn't!) and only 1 other person in the restaurant......soon became clear why this might be! The cooked breakfast was disgusting, cold, you could snap the bacon in half it was so overcooked, there were no beans and the hash browns were a solid congealed lump! I could go on. Sadly inedible and no-one around to speak to. On check out a person briefly appeared as I was in the lift to leave, mentioned briefly the breakfast but he was uninterested. I have stayed here on many occasions and do not expect 5 star (you get what you pay for) but I do expect at the very least a decent breakfast.

Nice size room with firm bed. Bathroom on small side but shower was good. Comfortable chair in room and nice to have kettle and tea and coffee selection Maria on reception was really welcoming and professional. Which made us feel at home. Didn't try restaurant in Travelodge but good to have bar and food onsite

Wasn’t cool with the response the receptionist gave upon my check in at 21:30. I asked where the restaurant was as I was told it’s closed. I expected empathy when I asked how I need to get something to eat and he responded by telling me that’s not his fault.

What a great hotel in a great location right in the centre of this beautiful town. Big, spacious rooms with a lovely, well-stocked bar & breakfast room. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful and attentive and we could not have felt more welcome. Our expectations were GREATLY exceded on this trip. Best Travelodge by far.

Nice clean hotel in a good location close to bars, shops and restaurants. We were impressed that they had free disabled parking at the rear of the hotel which was easy to get to. Only down side was we booked the hotel as it was one of the few in the area with aircon however when we had checked in and went to the room the aircon wasn’t working and when we asked reception that’s when they informed us that it was working in the hotel and was given a desk fan. We also found a vacuum which had been left in our room.

Lovely staff to greet me on arrival, especially a lady by the name of Maria, very fun, very bubbly and happy to please Did have an issue with the shower in my room not draining the water but a quick trip to reception sorted everything out while I went to work in Potters Bar

Needed somewhere to stay for a surprise party nearby, hotel is located near lots of amenities, room was lovely and breakfast was good plenty of choice for £65 including breakfast absolute bargain and would definitely stay again

Very friendly and helpful staff, thank you Maria and Aggi for your kindness and help. Comfy beds, good hot water, quiet night had. Great breakfast including full English, pastries, fruit, coffee in the relaxing bar. I'll definitely be back again
