"The most popular hotel in Wengen is probably Regina, but I saw reviews saying the facilities were too old, so I carefully selected this relatively less-known one. The hotel is located at the highest point of the town, offering a tranquil and secluded atmosphere. Having luggage is no problem; you can call the hotel to arrange a pick-up when the train departs Lauterbrunnen. English is sufficient for communication. You'll see the hotel's car after the train arrives! However, the car can only seat four people (they also provide a drop-off service after check-out). I booked a room with a balcony, which was very comfortable! However, due to the trees, the view of the valley wasn't panoramic. Because the balconies are connected, you can hear conversations in other rooms. The room was a bit small but very clean. The bathroom, however, was really tiny; a slightly larger person turning around in the shower would definitely have the curtain stick to them. The hotel only provides breakfast, not lunch or dinner, but the breakfast is really good. You won't need to eat lunch after breakfast. You can ask the staff for fried eggs or scrambled eggs, which are freshly made. The Ovaltine sauce with bread is incredibly delicious!"

"I had an amazing stay at Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn Wengen, The staff were incredibly friendly, supportive, and always greeted me with warm smiles, which made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded my room, adding an extra touch that made my stay even more memorable. The hotel is perfectly located in a stunning area, just a short walk from Wengen Station, making it extremely convenient. My room had a beautiful view, and waking up to such scenery was truly breathtaking. Overall, a wonderful experience—highly recommended!"

"Aside from its good location and long history, this hotel is truly disappointing in every other aspect. The lighting is dim, making the rooms feel like something out of a horror movie at night. The soundproofing is terrible, the floors creak loudly, the breakfast selection is limited and runs out quickly, meaning you'll likely have to wait for the staff to bring out the next dish before you can eat! Also, the old room doors are impossible to open, so for the next few days I had to leave them unlocked – utterly ridiculous!"

"The lighting over the desk did not work and despite a promise to attend to it, by 9pm it didn't happen. A request for a non slip mat for the bath to enable a safe step for the shower did not happen. Burnt and over cooked fish was served for dinner, upon rejection by myself the dish was given to another member of our travel group! I Quickly informed them that they had been served my rejected dish and our tour Director spoke to the kitchen staff who eventually replaced the rejected meal with a properly cooked meal. I have travelled extensively have never experienced such disgusting service, I was absolutely abhorred. While all the other Hotel staff were obliging my advise would be to stay any where else."
